Forward Fleet Assignment problem

I hope someone can help me. I selected 3 frigate (Mauler, Scimitar, Valor) on a Forward Fleet Assignment, but the success chance indicator still says that I have a low chance to accomplish the mission. I tried with various ships (max synergy, Mk.4 modules), but I cant get higher chance than 'low'. Why? Is this a bug, or Im missing something?

What does it do when you select non premium ships? Do those ships have modules?

 

What does it do when you select R4 ships, that is the minimum recommendation for this assignment.

 

If lacking R4 ships I might suggests taking those premies to PVP or Invasion to get some synergy.

 

Likely will be faster then just playing R2/3 ships…

the successrate depends on this order:

 

Ship Rank, Ship Level, Ship Type, Module Mark

But the mission recommendation is Rank 4 and the selected ships are far above the recommended level (Mauler - Rank 13, Scimitar - Rank 12, Valor - Rank 9). All 3 ships are premium ships, so they already have max synergy. They are also equipped with Mk.3 - Mk.4 modules. Success chance still low. I just don`t get it.

I tried with different ships, but the results are the same. I can`t get any higher than ‘low’.

Both my wife and I experienced the same thing repeatedly, granted we have not had the “bugged” assignment for a few days now.

 

It seems that some assignments that have REALLY good rewards (like up to 6x Graphite Plates or 2x Alien Monocrystals, along with a long list of other less impressive random rewards) never get above a ‘Low’ chance of success. I believe I actually got rewarded for one of these missions once, but they typically fail. The rewards were better and with a higher chance of success a few patches back when they first added these assignments… then they added the missiles/drones as rewards and made one type of assignment (the best type) become nearly not passable… well… nearly.

 

Generally, just about every assignment you get is more rewarding and provides a higher and steadier income of materials than the “bugged” assignment in question here.

 

I’m not sure if this is intentional or not, or if the Rank of the assignment even matters at all. I’ve noticed that I can put ships of a LOWER Rank than the requirement and get similar results as using the higher-rank versions… sometimes I don’t even need to fill all the ship slots to get high or maximum success chance/rewards… or get stuck at low/moderate regardless of the ships I use or their gears.

I can confirm that ship rank makes no difference. Equipment doesn’t seem to matter either. Premium ships seem marginally better than Non-premium though.

The Lynx M might have Mk III gear on, but the rest are naked. all the T1 are max synergy though whereas the T4 have been ignored as worthless.

Mauler and Scimitar have Mk.1 and Mk.2 modules and Valor has Mk.3 and Mk.4 modules equipped, but I tried with every modules removed. The results are the same, low chance.

Sorry for bumping an old topic, but has anybody noticed that Guards seem to give you the highest chance of success with virtually no difference on what type of assignment or what type of ship they are asking you to send? For example, an assignment asking for only Interceptors will only give you something like a 78% chance of success when putting-in maxed ships, however putting nothing but Guards, regardless of Rank will always give you 100%. In fact, it seems that the rank and ship requested has entirely NO impact on the operation success/% reward indicators. Currently, Guards > all for assignments.

 

Additionally, the gear DOES make a difference, the upgrade level appears to make a marginal difference (something like +10% reward if you put nothing but MK4 gears on ALL of the ships you send as opposed to just using MK1… I could be wrong, it could be just having gear versus having empty slots… I tend to strip my ships when I don’t use them and don’t always check/care if they go out naked on assignment). With the above in mind, it still does not seem to matter if you simply equip a Guard ship into a slot as it gives the maximum chance of success/% reward no matter what.

 

Anyway, the system is clearly not working as intended.
