I don’t know if it was intended or not but every time I use the free aim and try to shoot sideways or backwards with the flux phaser, the overheating jumps up to the red bar right after the first shot. The cooling time seems to be strange as well. It takes too long for the cooling to start.
It works similarly to coil mortar. If you shoot behind yourself, the heating bar fills red faster, but because this wep has so big overheating over a shot, your weapon overheats instantly. Or that’s what I think, I might be wrong.
No, it does FULL damage no matter the direction but if you shoot in the 2 or 1 gun only firing arc it overheats that much quicker. Which means that directly behind with 1 gun is like 4 shots XD
Also coil guns/eclipse simply lock out turrets but overheat is the same.
