Few newb questions regarding game mechanics

Good day all

i have several questions:

If i have more than one active item of the same type, and activate them on same ship, do they work? What about passive items? can i stack resist mods? Is there a penalty?

Furthermore: boosting. How exactly does it work? once i activate it, it stays on for the whole fight? If there are 2 people boosting SAME thing, only one boost is applied? If they’re boosting 2 things, than BOTH effects are applied? (epic fighter combos spring to mind…)

Thanks, i’ll think of more questions as i play this, i’ve been on for 3 days only and i’m hooked

2 of the same active modules will share cool down, but if they are just both shield mods and not the same exact shield mod(Mk version will still get hit with cool down penalty) the they so not share cool down.

Boost modules do not start, one buff is applied to each ship, and only the highest buff counts.

You can stack resists yes, passive armour or shield modules of same type are fine. Do take into account though that the more resist you add the less effective it is. 100 resistance doubles your effective hp against that dmg type.

Like Draconas said, only 1 buff is applied, im actually not sure about who gets an assist. But I think everyone giving a buff gets the assist. Not just the person with the highest module. To see who affects you with buffs, press ENTER ingame and mouse over a buff.

Do mind that some hostile actions on your ship can make your modules deactivate. Only then you need to restart them. Keep in mind however that modules use energy per second. Which you also could be using for afterburner. So sometimes it is wise to activate modules only when your providing buffs, and deactivate them when you are running away or such. Also when someone else is running a better module with the same buff there is no point in you activating yours, unless he dies or you get out of his range.

The little white numbers inside the buff show you how many players are affected by your buff. It has a bit of lagg sometimes though (the number)

There are specific ships such as Comman Fighters which increase the range or reduce the energy drain of buffs.

Good luck n fly safe o7

another qustion: if first match of the day i go PvE, will i lose my double bonus?

Yes. Loyalty wise it is a good choice to win a PvP first, then move to PvE since the former awards more loyalty.
