Fear of the future Granite CPU modifier.

Dev Q and A got closed 16hrs ago. So i’ll share my fear and question here.

CPU modifier

If a friendly ship is destroyed nearby, rate of fire temporarily increases for allies.

Will it make your allies overheat over and over, uncontrollably? Or will there be a mechanic so the overheating/cooling, scale with the increased RoF? Otherwise i can see one big problem right there.

???

fire rate doesn’t necessarily mean overheat faster

the overheat will stay the same

Funny, because when i put iridium heatsink capacitor. It overheat faster. Same if i use the Crew Skill increasing rate of fire. That’s where my logic come from.

So i thought it will do the same thing.

it will be like the Was’Got battle station ROF without heat penalty

those specifically state that the reduce time to overheat, it isn’t a requirement though, look at the gunship special module

Then, i could reply that, Vanadium shells do not state that it reduce time to overheat. Though they do anyway.
