Fatal error

After I finished download, I clicked on ‘play’ button. I was too excited to play this game. But a message came in the screen saying ’ Can’t initialize renderer. Current D3D video device is not supported by the game.’

I later checked the system requirements. It said ’ Any card can be used which was released after 2006.’ But my whole laptop was taken on 2009.

I have also uploaded a screenshot of the problem in the attachment.

PLEASE HELPPP MEEEE!!!

Dear MrTwiddlez,

1- After I finished download, I clicked on ‘play’ button. I was too excited to play this game. But a message came in the screen saying ’ Can’t initialize renderer.               Current D3D video device is not supported by the game.’

2- This is a bug because I cannot play this game even though my video card is up to date.

3- Well, the download was completed today, and this problem occured today.

4- Today was the first time i clicked on ‘PLAY’ button, and it didn’t open today.

5- The detailed explanation is given in the question.

6-  OS : Windows Vista
Video card : Mobile Intel® 4 series Express Chipset Family
System type : 32-bit Operating system
     Service Pack - SP1
     System RAM - 3 GB

Somebody pleassseee help meee!!!

Did you recently reset your computer? you may have to re-download some software for your hardware, (chips) and even then, if it’s a new one, make sure that software is there.

Since it’s your video, look at the chip, and find its name online. There might just be something you’re missing.

I don’t really know, but my computer had a similar problem. (If not the same)

That being said, I don’t know the specifics.

Nope, this is not the problem. I tried updating ALL my drivers but it still does not work.

That problem can occur if your video card is not suported by the game. Sometimes that happens with integrated video cards (Onboard VGAs) and the only solution for that may be to instal a decent video card that is suported by the game.

Dear Krimax,

I checked your website [ie https://support.gaijin.ru/hc/en-us/articles/200070821–Star-Conflict-System-Requirements-What-Supported-Video-Cards-Are- ]. It says all cards issued after 2006 can be used including intel. But my video card was released on 2008.

So, definitely there is no problem with the video card.

Please be patient. It will be looked into as soon as possible. If you have not done so, I would suggest opening a Support ticket here.

Congrats!

But still it is something related to incompatibility to your video card, otherwise the message would be diferent. Might be a bug, might be a driver problem, might be your windows that isnt in a very good shape. But definately the message states that the renderer canot initialize, who renders images? The video Card.

And, there are diferent drivers for video cards, some use the OpenGL (Linux) and some use D3D, which is the one Microsoft uses, and the message says that the D3D VIDEO DEVICE IS NOT SUPORTED by the game.

So, no matter the cause, the problem it is generating is the incompatibility between the game and your VGA, despite the cause, thats whats preventing you to enter the game. Now, i sugest you to go to click start button, (execute if windows XP) write dxdiag, see the other tabs, and check the exact model of the VGA that is there, and check on the internet if you find any solutions (i doubt there will be) but probably you will have to wait an answer as Twiddlez stated. That could take some time, and even so, might not be solved via the developers. The answer will be most likely as always: The problems is in your computer…

The developers take years to patch something that is broken for a year, how long would it take for them to develop a patch to solve 1 incompatibility issue with 1 player.

Well, in my previous post i wasnt insulting or anything, i was giving a sugestion, and you took it as an ofence, as stated in your sarcastic response. I hope you dont get ofended with this post too.

Thank you for reporting this problem, we have studied your report and have found, that it is caused by an obsolete video device. We are sorry, but Mobile Intel® 4 series Express Chipset Family is not supported by our game.

baby_crying2.gifWAAAAAAAAH!!!

Dear Krimax,

I was not offended with your post. I just wanted to play your game as soon as possible because my mom allows me to use the computer only on saturdays and sundays.
