I tried the suggestion in the above-linked thread but it did not fix my problem.

Try to execute launcher.exe from your Star Conflict folder. It will update client manually.

If you are playing via steam, please restart steam.

If you are playing via steam, please restart steam.

As stated twice in my original post, I did this first with no results.

Starting the .exe didn’t fix it either…

He didn’t mean the game.exe but the launcher’s executable.

If you don’t have any Launcher you can download it from star-conflict.com

I fixed my steam issues with the launcher. Its sad we have to do it manually but at least I can play then.

if you downloaded on steam. RESTART steam by shut steam down, and than OPEN steam again. tha click on STARCONLFLICT and than on PLAY. it wil start automaticly with updating

Which still doesn’t fix it. I know how to use Steam, thank you very much.

And no, clicking play does NOT automatically make it update. That makes the client start. Steam has to detect that there is an update and then it updates. Clicking on the game start won’t trigger it.

Anyway one patch after my first problem, I suddenly was on 0.7.10… while the game that was up was 0.7.9. So I had to wait until the current patch to catch up to what I had. Then I was finally able to play… for one day. Now I have the same problem I had in the first post. And restarting Steam STILL doesn’t fix it.

Go to your games library->Star Conflict->Properties->Betas-> Select none.
