I use warpgates almost every battle, multiple times. Sometimes I’ve noticed that warpgates don’t recognize my ship flying through them and nothing happens. I then fly backwards into them, and usually that works…sometimes it doesn’t.
It’s really annoying, because all this moving around, trying to get the warpgate to recognize that my ship is inside of it means that the enemy team can shoot a rocket at me and blow up the warpgate.
80% of the time it sends me slamming in to asteroids but that might be user error on my part maybe,
Back on topic every time I’ve had a warp gate misfire I’ve been moving so don’t know if that’s whats doing it.

it only works if you move through the middle.

Yeah , i know the misfire
. Warpgates have to be established carefully , so you don’t crash into sth. . The First Time’s my Problem wasn’t the astroids , but the enemy’s ships . To topic : as hammas stated , scratching the edges of the warpgate doesn’t work . Either keep still when planting it , or , when Building it while moving , be sure you Build it right into you flightpath to Hit the middle , Not strafing or flying curves
