Why is there something that tells me how much to lead? When I play TF2, I don’t need it to tell me where I have to aim to make my rockets hit; it’s an acquired skill. When I snipe in BF3, I don’t need it to tell me how much drop the bullet will have and how far I need to lead him if he’s running. I think it’d make dodging a viable option for the slower ships and raise the skill ceiling. As of now, all I do is point and click unless I’m going full speed in an interceptor.
I think this is a good support for new players, because in a dogfight it will be hard to calculate the hit point and avoid the enemy at the same time.

Yeah even in Tribes: Ascend I aim my Spinfusor shots whith players going at an average 150+ km/h but we’re still talking about big targets going relatively slow.
In this game you have to hit really small targets at 2+ km distance, and these targets go really fast. I would dare you to use standard plasma gun without the HUD (if I recall correctly ALT+Z removes HUD), they’re already easy to dodge if you see them, I can’t imagine if the shooter isn’t precise. To get this harder, ships (especially interceptors) can change direction in a tri-dimensional space in no time, meaning they can’t move only up and down but also get further or closer while even moving diagonally, change direction at one point and shooting you at the same time, while usually in BF3 if someone is running, they can’t do anything else.
Also without this system everyone would be using lasers because it’s easier or because they’re lazy, and we don’t want this, do we?
And i got another nice suggestion about this subject lol
I think it’s absolutely needed an option to change the color of the little circle we use to aim…
During action and with many targets on the screen it’s not easy to follow that tiny little slightly blue circle
If we can choose colours like shiny yellow red or green and so on it would be great
Try landing a hit on a good inty thats trying to avoid been hit you are lucky as hell to land a shot with it should you remove it odds are you would never land a hit.
A good Inty can have 5+ players trying to shoot him down and avoid every thing real easy once they start to spin as they fly the sheer speed they move at means only lasers are fast enough to come close to a hit and even then odds are low and thats with the target lead with out good luck ever trying to land a hit.
Really? I think it’d make battles take place up closer and make them less spammy. Right now, I just kinda fly towards the enemy strafing randomly while keeping the cursor where it tells me too. I’ve already kinda gotten bored of it, and the only reason why I still play is because the ships look really cool and I want to see what the later ones will look like.
