[F]Laser Balance

For the love of God, get rid of the continuous Lasers. They are overpowered as I don’t know what, and it ruins the gameplay. Basically they have as much output-time as their energy cells allow, and the drain is really slow.

In reality, that kind of continuous output would cause the barrel of the weapon to melt. Not to mention put the diode(s) in disarray or shatter the lens.

I really hope it’s a glitch and will be fixed in the next patch.

There damage is much lower than Plasma or Rail guns so i can not see the problem with it i mean it deals around 270 damage Plasma if i recall can deal up to 400 ahit just less range but way more dps.

If the lasers was doing damage close to Plasma guns i could see a point to stop it working as they do but given the low damage it is not a problem at all and its buggy alot of the time its not doing damage when held on enemy ships.

For constant dmg output the laser sacefices power and suffers from lag an latency. Also its hard to aim with it either. I dont see that there is a imbalance. Good aiming makes laser good but good pilots are always good.

Btw its was changed to the constant fire for standart lasers. Only eco, heavy and longrange have pulses.

Standard AND Heavy are constant beam,

Heavies can deal unskilled Mark 1 Equipped about 1,2k dmg per tick,

if you hit fully during that time of course.

They are annoying but well, you just gotta dodge em, really eases the gameplay.

If you rapidly fire the constant beams the damage will fall way lower 75-125 per hit at T3.
