[F]Griding for credits is hard this patch.

Well the problem is i dont have much indestructible modules. Each of my ships has one equipped. Also fitting them with the equipment i whanted took so much credits. (had something about 800k for T2) And they are still not equipped with the best gear. I think i buy T2-2 and skip T3-1 simply because refitting them in one lvl is stupid, also the amount of credits is a little bit too much.

In addition, loosing a game and all ships sometime causes to get a very high abount of credits. Got the last few times ~50k from the game. :blink:

Okay I understand, well basically the amount of your rewards is based on your performance in the match, the more enemy ships you kill the higher your reward will be.

I made a nice stack of credits by simply not using them, I would re-use my old modules on my new ships and I simply just haven’t purchased anything and don’t intend to because I know the later techs will cost a lot, so I have about 3.3m credits saved up just from my tech1-tech2 matches. I do admit though after I equipped destructible modules my repair bill went sky high so I suggest simply not using a lot of modules and try to use as many indestructible ones as you can.

Thats actually not true. The games i earned that less is actually where im one of the best in a fight. A good amount of kills and also captures but i still get that less for being good. I get more by loosing all ships and a lost battle instead. Something is definitely wrong with the reward system.

It is true, but there is a bug preventing it from working correctly I am assuming.

This problem is very annoyng it made me stop playning till it’s fixed, coz when i’ll lvl up i won’t have any money to buy and equip new ships.

Thos should be fixed asap.

that’s true, is very hard to get money, my money is dwindling and I am not buying almost anything. The money I gain is all repair the ships.

Yeah I hope they get a patch out for it asap because people are stopping themselves from playing the game because it is impractical!

The support is still there. Most of the issues that came with the last patches have been noticed and now it takes some more time to solve them.

Well I am always up for brainstorming, I know how difficult it can be to find and fix errors. I remember once in my game I had a light bug that was messing with the lighting and it all came down to the fact that I didn’t make the atom that was controlling the light, a temporary atom so I was literally just missing three letters and that was what was causing the bug.

It can be really irritating finding and fixing them, especially after you fix them and you find out it was a really simply fix but tracking it was difficult.

There is a method in my development that I use where you implement developer notes within the programming that will sound off when they’ve been activated, so the programmer can know if the function is working correctly ~ I don’t know if that could help but you could try that.

I am thinking it has something to do with the math at the end of a round, calculating the reward. Math in programming is horrifying and even just one space, letter, number, etc in the wrong spot can mess it up.

I hope they find it soon, because I really have been wanting to return to the game.

I don’t really think player count has anything to do with fixing the bug, if you need a game designer I’d happily work for free because I don’t care about money ~ but seriously ~ there won’t be as many players if people keep losing money ~ as it is now it isn’t good for Anybody in the community and it needs to be fixed _ immediately _.

I know that the bug is game breaking, but I am not in the dev team. My job is to collect the feedback and to send it to them and after that they decide what happens.

A fix is in work but I dont know when it will be on the live server.

And really thanx for this m8. I just hope that this fix won’t be part of a big patch. It should be a patch on its own asap no matter about other problems wich we can wait to be solved. This one has priority, i hope :unsure:

I guess all of the player urgency in the world won’t allow that to happen, they are obviously bundling it with some other fixes and probably balances.

Honestly, I don’t want to sound like I am really glorified or anything but after a decade+ of balancing mods and starting to make my own games I have realized that “patches” or updates that bring a lot of fixes at once tend to create more problems then they fix. Battlefield 2 was a good example of this, the devs wouldn’t release small patches and would release a bunch of changes all at once and the new patches would Always bring new bugs. This is NOT the suggested way of handling a games development cycle and will simply introduce a never ending stream of new bugs.

I love you Error, really you are a great community manager but you need to tell the devs to release smaller incremental patches with Guarantee’d fixes that have been tested and approved before being released. The smaller the patches, the better the improvements and it also allows the development cycle to shift slightly and it honestly eases up the workload on the development team.

It allows the devs to work on ONE thing, make it completely solid and functional and then release it without new issues appearing.

This is just what I have learned over the years of being in development and playing games being developed, take my experiences for what you see them I suppose.

All I want is this game to succeed and honestly the last patch hurts a little bit because it does indeed, make the game unplayable.

The problem is, that there are many things that I am not allowed to talk about. But I can promise you that the devs care about the opinion of the community. I dont know if you were playing when Federation was released, but there we also had a couple of trouble with different things and after a decent time and a good cooperation between devs and community they fixed the biggest part of the bugs.

There are also couple of improvements following in the near future and I hope I can tell you about them in the next days :slight_smile:

Actually I am somewhat a new comer to the game, I came before these most recent patches and the game was very well balanced and very fun to play so I guess that is my only experience and I completely understand.

Finally found where this bloody bug comes from…

Just deactivated autorepair to manual repair each single item

Problem are special items (weapons, mods and modules) looted

I’m T2 and purple items costs 16k each one to be repaired, green ones 3k each one
