[F]Extended Shield Capaciator bonus is calculated wrong

Found this by comparing hull mod with shield mod on my T3 Federation Frigate. Current max shield without mod is 8014 Units. Mod adds 25% additional shield power. Calculated shield is now 10017.5 Units. Displayed in hangar and shown in battle 9959 Units. Units Missing: 58.5. Seems less but try it out with diffrent ships…

Tested it with my T2-2’s from Jericho Techs and lets have a look at how much is missing.

Int: 3874 base with mod 4484 in hangar. Calculated: 4842.5 // Missing: 358.5!!!

Fighter: 7193 base with mod 8353 in hangar. Calculated: 8991.25 // Missing: 638.25!!!

Frig: 11690 base with mod 13575 in hangar Calculated 14612.5 // Missing: 1037.5!!!

Thats quite a lot isnt it? In that case i would also check the calculation for hull mods here. This bug in the calculation could also affect them.

as far as i know the game does ship base shield + pasive skill increase (based on base shield) + module increase (based on base shield)

do you have any other mod or pasive that increase ship shields?

to give an example of what i am saying, lets say base shield is 100, an skill that gives 20% and a mod that gives 20%

ship + mod = +20% to ship = 120

ship + skill = +20% to ship = 120

ship + skill + mod = +40% to ship = 140

wich is not the same as

ship + skill + mod = (+20% to ship)+20% of the result = 148

but once again i am guessing since i dont know for sure how mechanics works.

There is no skill in the skilltree to enhance your shields, only its resistances. So this is 100% based on the shield mod here.

on energy tech tree check for “bridge to back up cc”

shield maximun capacity increased by 3/6/9/12/15%

Havent skilled it jet.

Havent skilled it jet.

then the system has indeed scam uss :dntknw:

you probably forgot about your racial bonus of +2% shield and armor

so it’s really going from +2% to +27%, not +0% to +25%, which covers your missing hitpoints.
