My Antivir told me the last patch it found something in a game file. I asked a friend and he said this is nothing wrong. But this time again in another .exe of the game my Antivir found something and id rather not want to exclude all the files of the game from a virus search.
This time its the file called pcnsl.exe last time it was the game.exe
What is it and why keep Avira telling me it is a TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen
Delete the “infected” file and redownload. It should work. Im having the same issue over and over again. Its a known problem to the devs and they will have a look on it.
i have same problem patch after patch, i think it’s a false positive…
I usually disable realtime protection when this happens coz avira totally blocks the downloading
process whatever you do (deleting or not) so there’s no other choiice
I wouldnt risk, if it isnt a false positive.
The download of the files are afaik with a p2p system like most MMOs.
So it is quite possible that you can get modified files with Trojans or Viruses.
I’ve got the AntiVir Alert too, I deleted and used the Repair-Function → No Alert the second time (perhaps cause i downloaded the file from someone other than before)

Yes but if i scan the gaijin folder in c/programs (x86) now avira doesn’t detect anything
