Extremely Lossy/Laggy Connection to Russian Servers (Complete Loss Occasionally)

Hi everyone!

Recently, I had a lot of problems with Star Conflict’s [Russian] servers, but now, things have deteriorated to the point that I completely lose all control over my ship in Sector Conquest, and occasionally in PvP battles. In SecCon’s case, I lag out 3 times in a single battle, and… I can only watch as my ship does pirouettes through the air, and I was absolutely screaming the whole time, slamming the afterburner keys on my keyboard. Even crafting an item and changing ammo (yes, AMMO) have come to the point where it says “Error <action>. Timed out.” I checked the MTU value of my LAN connection, and it was adjusted precisely with the parameters as said by ConnectionTester. Ugh. If you don’t believe me, here’s just one of the frustrating moments I had to endure:

Things got really bad at 6:25, when the lag is so strong that the client interprets “Packet Loss” as “none” [a little while afterwards], when it’s lagging so hard that I literally can’t do anything. I tried activating my Adaptive Camo, but even after 40 seconds (approx.), nothing happened.

Any solutions?

Happens to everyone. Even with my home internet (15mb up 200mb down) i get terrible connection in Russian servers. Basically makes it pointless to fly anything other than a dessy or very slow frigate.

Only 15mb up? I have 316mb down and 319mb up.

Literally impossible unless you live in a data center lmfao

And supposedly I’m supposed to have double my given numbers but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Sounds like a typical cable internet connection, just enough up so that the download speed can be fully utilized.

Only 320Mb/s in a Data Center sounds very slow, I wouldn’t go below 1000Mb/s

The speed of your home internet connection is completely irrelevant for such connection issues.

And post the output of SC_Active_Srv_nettest.cmd here

I dunno about it

I even connected to their city.

Idk what service you have but I want it.

I also have lags in russian servers but not that bad. ~150 ping and sometimes packet loss ~2%-4%.

I have 10-15Mbps down(varies) and 1Mbps up and there’s no infrastructure where I live to have more #easterneurope

Please read it

Funnily enough, Russia’s packet loss issue resolved itself when I ported my 80GB SATA over to my 1TB SATA hard disk, but the ping is still an absolute nightmare. Here’s what the SC_Active_Srv_nettest.cmd script said:

Did you read it?

Show it to your provider: there are lag and packet loss in his network

I believe that there is a network connection fault which make it unable to connect properly.
