Since the last patch iv noticed that shields and armor go down on a ship being attack but with additions in the last patch shields take only seconds to rep to full armor works the same way. Recently i saw a frig being attacked by 3 ships and its shields holding at 1/3 power, as soon as one ship moved on the shields snapped back to full.
Im wondering if other have started to notice these extremes in shield and armor replacement? Before the last patch you could chip away the shields or armor of a ship and seeing it at half strength meant that a ship was halfway to being taken down. I just don’t see the point in having both shields and armor if they are just going to instantly fill as soon as your not being attacked. Just
The point being that shield and armor rep are waaaaaaayyyyyyyy to effective to make for fun game play.
and thats why you target enginnering frigs first, they actualy can’t repair themselves as good as with surrounding ships
i can tell you that it’s quite easy at the moment to kill an enginnering frigate as a lone Spec Ops interceptor, you just sneak behind them, plasma arc while firing and finish them off with a missile, takes less than 6 seconds
and how do you survive 6 secs of pulsar ?

Sure they can. Read the modules, they repair the most dmgd ship… including your own. Part of the problem my be that they just group up giving them all a ridiculous tank. Other ships need more offensive modules to counter them, and defensive modules to allow them to bug out when they get directly engaged. There should be cross over in the roles. A low level command module could be fitted to a gunship etc…
Better role bounuses would help as well. And im not talking the lazy +20% dmg stuff as well. Something more like gunships weapons don’t over heat, letting them continuously fire lazers and plasma. That would lead others to use weapons that don’t over heat or suffer down time like now.
what about using fastfire plasma? ^^ it cant overheat :b and also can be used on a gunship as far as i know ^^ that + overdrive + crit buff + rockets = dead ingi for sure.
