I was transported to the Alien Dimension and died trying to get out. My mission marker now says I need to find a way out of the alien dimension and the mission description says I need to return to the station. The quest marker is also on the station (Guardian-17).

 

However, docking will not complete the mission.

 

Found that the solution was to return to the Alien Dimension via the portal that sent me there in the first place.

 

However, both the mission marker and the description should revert back to “head to [sector] and investigate” if you die in the Alien Dimension.

Even if the question mark is at the home base, when you pass the route that is mentioned in the quest you should get tossed into the Alien Space again. Just go to the place where they said transports vanished.

 

When in Alien Space the hunters don’t attack you unless you get closer than 2km to them.

All you have to do is undock from station, and re-dock
