Hi, i played this game before on my aunt laptop and it’s pentium 4 laptop at 30 FPS low graphic…

Now i decided to play it again but an error keeps showing when i start the game “Current Direct3D video device is not supported”

Try rolling back your grafics(VGA) driver with the drivers provided by the laptop manufacturer, even if they are ancient(2009,2010):

You dont have integrated grafics, so there shouldn’t be any problems with your chipset.

Restart windows, press f8, use safe mode to deinstall your grafics driver.

Restart again in safe mode and apply the driver downloaded from the link above.

PS: Off course maybe your grafics card is just not supported :s

Of course you can try the opposite and install the latest drivers. I just recently had a problem where the latest nvidia driver introduced problems, which could be fixed by the laptop’s manufacturer supported nvidia driver.

What grafics card do you actually have? I actually can’t see any from the logs u dumped here. What does the Device manager say?

You have this laptop right? Aspire 5738

It have a nvidia graphic card maybe able to launch the game (geforce g105m). The problem is that according to that log you are not using it, the active card is the one integrated which is not able to even start the game.

Some Laptop have this function to disable the vcard if they are on battery, there must be somewhere some option to activate the nvidia card,but you have to plug in the power supply otherwise it will never switch to the nvdia card.

Probably once you plug in the power supply it will automatically do that, otherwise search between power options in control panel.

Hi, i played this game before on my aunt laptop and it’s pentium 4 laptop at 30 FPS low graphic…
