Er...this is amusing to see this bug ^^

Hey,

This is quite amusing to see some random IA ship doing random for a moment when i enter in a zone xD

This arrive sometimes but not often ^^

I have this message and i cannot post the pic even if its a 1,23Mo: 413 Request Entity Too Large

So i will desribe it. I see a random IA ship goin ultra fast in a random direction and coming back ultra fast as well. Doind it endlessly for a while and it let trails appear (and also trails from ammunitions).

Yes it’s been happening for a while. Sometimes they turn invisible

[How to create bug reports](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/25328-how-to-create-bug-reports/)

Ah, sorry. I didnt see the last part

1. Description of the problem, what happened.

I see a random IA ship goin ultra fast in a random direction and coming back ultra fast as well. Doind it endlessly for a while and it let trails appear (and also trails from ammunitions).

2. What did you expected to happen.

Nothing

  1. The conditions during the situation.

When i enter a zone in open-space.

4. Further details on the issue.

Nones

5. Frequency of occurrence.

Rare.

6. Logs + [screenshots](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/18799-how-to-takepost-screenshots/) or a video (Including a description of the issue, where to and how to reproduce it)

I tried to attach a file in the first post and it didnt worked. Now it should work better:

  1. If possible, the time when it happend. In this case we will be able to look more closely to the server logs. Also mention your time zone.

GMT +1

8. Information on the configuration of your computer (DxDiag)

[DxDiag.txt](< base_url >/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=9662)

  1. The results of this [program](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/25324-info-connection-losses-high-ping-and-related-issues/) if the bug report is related to connection issues.

Not needed.

10. If the complaint is related to Sector Conquest, it is necessary to specify the location and time + timezone of the happening.

Not needed.

I hope it will help

It is very difficult bug, We known about it many time, but, we can’t reproduce it on the our office.

Can you explain, how to repeat this issue?

Like i said, it happens after being teleported to another zone:

"3. The conditions during the situation.

When i enter a zone in open-space."

I think it is maybe a wrong multiple loading of too much objects in space and some variable got corrupted because they have not enought time to load?

It occurs upon entering a sector in open space, for some reason the cargo ship and escort appear in the same space and so the escort gets sent flying across the map but returns instantly. You can replicate what happens but so YOU  have point of view by putting your ship where a cargo ship spawns - Crimson Haze pve stage 3 is best (Invasion cargo ships don’t spawn if there is something in the way). After a period of time the rubberbanding stops and your ship may be invisible to you but behaves normally otherwise.

It is basically a clipping problem between an active object (ship) and larger fixed path object where the small object experiences extreme force so as to avoid going inside the larger object. In land based games, you can see the car will fly into the sky if it tries to clip inside the ground. In Star Conflict, the ship tries to return to the last known position because being 10km away all of a sudden is “wrong”.

btw the escort ship gets shunned up to 22km away, basically to the edges of the map 11875061_473125329525800_312661814102192

I can confirm that I have observed this bug as well since the Invasion closed beta last year. Happens sometimes, not regularly. Couldn’t figure out what causes it. Observed the same thing; bots, often escort ships seemingly moving at high speeds to one position over and over again and leaving behind angled engine trails all over the place until the issue sorts itself out after ~15 seconds.

I’m using a GTX 275 with up-to-date drivers on a x64 W7 machine.

happens regularly imo. once every 2 or 3 times im in invasion.

Steps to reproduction needed

Steps to reproduction needed

Go into invasion.

Jump through a warpgate in an sector where you have after spawn a convoy in you line of sight.

Have luck and you will see it.

Steps without lucky-factor needed… it is the most difficult

Seriously. I am getting the spaghetti monster after about half of my jumps if a transport is in the sector already. Even station locations tend to produce these phenomenon quite often after undocking. As I see, it happens when escorts cannot take their predetermined formation due to some kind of blockage (which is the transport ship most of the time) after entering a location.

Maybe it is ping related, set your server to South Asia if you are in Russia then try :stuck_out_tongue:

No it isn’t.

I am amazed that Skula1975 is unable to reproduce such bug. It is quite common!

It practically happens every time you warp in. Even with 0% packet loss and 30 ping on EU server.

I may get some video, to show this issue.

I can tell you how it looks like.

BUG DESCRIPTION:

One escort ship always (usually on your bottom left, if 4 are in formation) immediately starts moving at a very high speed and it leaves an engine trail!

It looks like teleporting effect. I am not sure, but I think that this bug also causes that it is not affected by any collision.

Yellow trail indicates Empire Escort ships, Blue indicates Federation and Red indicates Jericho.

If you get hit by such ship, you will not get killed, since such collision isn’t even detected.

That shaking effect and visual engine effect starts to deteriorate soon and the ship is eventually be returned to its original position.

Will provide a video for you, once I get a good one!

I will help you, when I can.

I will provide a video.

This is not so rare bug. It is quite common!

I am not a big invasion pilot, but I only experienced this issue once. Therefore it is not an issue that is always appearing.

Strange…It happen some times on our machines. I said rare because of the ratio happening/not happening but in fact, it happens commonly.

it reappears often.

game is just on good behavior for daddy. :P
