Go where the action is. Nobody likes sitting in queue for 5 minutes for a 3v3 T5 game when you can get 10v10 in T2 in half the time.
Been ages since I flew T2. I remember going down to T2 to help a new pilot with someone (JD I think) and it was scary how bad we were at it! It’s almost a different game.
That’s really what stops me from tiering down in the quiet periods; I’d have to learn a whole new meta.

In fact, tier 2 is the best tier if you want to kill veterans. Ships in tier 2 are really bad for surviving, and almost any ship is energy stable.
I usually fly with some of my suscribers in low tiers, or just fly there for fun, and I die a lot, but is really fun, and most people ask you how or why are you killing so much, so they can learn.

that’s half true, I am hard to kill in my Kahla gunship which has as much survivability point as my Desert Eagle in T3. I have seen and fought much more skilled player at piloting than in other tier and I must admit its in that tier where I learned some trick about roll to avoid projectile like rails, frigate with heavy blaster or missile like doomday. Being energy stable or not isnt a problem for me as I am pretty good at energy management.
