Engineer frigs and nukes

That’s all this game is about at T3. Very one dimensional. I hope you’re working on fixing this.

adapt?

Do elaborate. I imagine a lot of people would want to know how to “adapt” to current gameplay in forms other then “do the same thing”.

  1. positioning matters alot more now than before in all 3 arcade game modes.

  2. fleet composition - there is such a thing as too many frigates on a team

  • except beacon hunt, which needs tweaking imho - engineer balls do work wonders in those

 

and then you have a plethora of weapon-ship-module combos to counter engineer-command squads

 

 

But all in all I do agree Frogate Conflict could use another ship-role squad for variety.

Come-on now, ‘Capture the beacons’ fundamental game-play requires you to stay in one spot to capture a beacon; making you and all your team-mates fodder for Nukes.

Or everyone could sit in a Engineer frig ball.

 

 

No more scenarios please of , “if you had this particular weapon or mod”. The game right now has reached the point where that makes 00.1% difference when you can be nuked in one second or have your damage from main weapons out-healed two times over.

 

Sometimes, when In game, I wonder whats the point in my weapon when I see someone I’ve shot down to 5% health fully heal in 3 seconds…Maybe I should just “adapt” and except it?.. Or maybe I should use my common sense and think this is a bit crap.

 

Maybe you’re a fan of the 1-button-press-easy-mode stuff? I’d like more variety and complexity.

So your entire “sector control strategy” hinges on… what exactly? Not being near beacons when frigates babysit them, which is all the time? Not playing the standard shitload of frigates + a few gunships and command ships for buffs and some mobile firepower to plug the occasional hole in the defense? Then what do you propose to play that won’t get smashed by that universal comp?

Pretty much the only way to have too many frigates is to not have anything but frigates at the moment. You still want to have at least one command ship, and maybe a couple of gunships to have a small mobile strike force that can chase occasional straggler. Other then that, no there is no such thing as “too many frigates”.

 

I’m not sure if you’re trolling, or genuinely ignorant of just how stupid this post made you look.
