Does anyone else think they should make it so that nearby guards prevent you from deploying the bomb? Currently an interceptor or fighter can race around in circles, being pelted by an entire team, and still manage to get the bomb off before dying, and once its planted theres no way to undo it.
This seems quite dumb as hitting a thrusting interceptor with high ping tends to be flat out impossible, resulting in having no competative chance in this gamemode.

Stasis field, Pulsar, Torpedo, Deathray, Minefield, they all help to pop interceptors.
yeah, properly organised teams. great. but not everyone gets these. usually you get some guys which obviously can’t even read because there is no reaction in the chat.
Or even worse, you sitting alone in your frig and and your cosy minefield and get a visit by whole enemy team with 2 bombs because your team couldnt be arsed to kill that bomb carrier
I personally belive that everytime a bomb carrier takes damage while deploying his progress gets reset and or slowed drasticaly.

Just minefield the station. That turns the area into hell for interceptors.
Nah the bigger deal is to keep them away as long as possible. If they get interrupted too easily then no one will be able to drop a bomb.
The beacons should be guarded by drones like in domination.
The bombing time has already increased to a point where I find it hard to even stay alive to plant it. Guarding it with drones is overkill, especially if you were chased by the enemy all the way to the point.
I think the objective of this game-mode is to stop them from reaching the Beacon. Once they are there… you failed already.
They recently increased the time it takes to plant it. There is plenty of time to kill the carrier on the way to the beacon and some time when he is there, if you can’t manage you, as in the team, need to try harder. Making it impossible to plant the bombs with anyone from the other team nearby would be stupid…
My intis been denied plenty of times at the beacon. I’ve also denied plenty of enemy at the beacon. You just gota know how to hit em.
yesterday i planted a bomb with a frig because only 1 or 2 small fighters cared about me. receiving damage while planting the bomb does not reset/disturb your planting-progress
My group has had huge luck tonight using a short range frig at 2 of the 3 nodes playing goalie.

Tier 1 kinda of a mess just because a lot of stuff is missing not worth nerfing 90% of the game for the first 2hours of the game.
There are tools on T1 to kill interceptors. Someone just got to understand that it aint a frigate you need for it.
The tools exist to pop interceptors rather easily. You should always have at least one ship in your three that is good at it. Ultimately, though, you need to stop them from getting close to the beacon, which means actively hunting down and killing bomb carriers before they get close. Tackle fighters with lasers are fantastic at killing interceptors.
