Dynamic Exposure

I’ve noticed while playing in the Attacked Sectors game mode that the game has a Dynamic Exposure effect and while I understand It’s usefulness It’s not worth the resources it uses on my PC. I’ve been able to achieve effective lighting with just Gamma and Constrast adjustments in other games and It’d be a nice feature to be able to disable this effect in an attempt to improve FPS.

Is there any way to deactivate the Dynamic Exposure in the client?

You could try turning down shadows and lens flares. I haven’t seen an option for dynamic exposure.

When I google “dynamic exposure”, all I get are results about HDR photography. Since this is all computer rendered, that doesn’t really apply here, what with light doing whatever the engine wants it to.

What, pray tell, are you actually referring to? I’m afraid the best I can get at without further knowledge is what RennieAsh just suggested up there.

He probably means how when you look at the brightness the exposure “darkens” and when looking into dark spots the bright areas get whited out, kind of like the human eye.

Ah, that’d be nice to turn off, Then it’d be possible to fly straight after flying into a minefield, rather than stumbling about for two or three seconds while the screen is perfectly black.

Yes. It’s very annoying. It always happens to me.

I will ask the devs about it.

Afternoon, it cant be changed its a part of games rendering.

Kind regards,
