Its ridiculous that the engineer can spawn drones right after you destroy his current ones. The reload timer should start when they are destroyed, not deployed

Thats bullshit, destroy them early and problem solved.
everyone else using missiles, mines, rockets have access to their max full potential upon spawning
engineers using drones have that delay no one else have.
Yes, and they require no skill, they move and shoot by themselves, and they’re a pain in the xxxx. They make frigballs even harder. Good luck trying to engage as an interceptor a frigball with 2 engineers and their 8 drones.
The drone army is big enough already, there’s no need to promote them in any way via buffs, even if they’re small.

Drones are easy to use but hard to master for maximum effect. Yes, they move and shoot automatically, but they don’t avoid attacks either. Using them with no skill results in them getting destroyed without any skill on the enemy’s part either. Micromanaging them improves their longevity, and the longer the drones survive, the more damage they can deal.

I wouldn’t say they’re hard to master. I can’t count the amount of engineers getting maniac medals just sitting behind and asteroid and a static barrier, getting kils with the Attack Drones…
I don’t use them because I feel dirty and cheap, and because I prefer to supress beacon drones with EM torpedoes, it encourages the coward people to try to take a beacon, because they see it clean of drones.
The only ones who don’t hate that little sh*ts are the ones who use them xD
Saying the attack drones don’t require skill is  seriously?
And yes, they don’t require any skill, becuase they move by themselves, you only need to launch them at the right time, and lock on your target properly, if you consider that high skill then ok
Just like the Octopussy and the Torpedoes, you just need to use them at the proper time, there’s no skill in there.
Why is there even an discussion if something requires skill or not. use of Drones for the lack of a better word … a tool\resource available for use.
I realize we are all from different cultures but occasionally on the forums this phrase “it Requires no skill” seems to me to indicate “Sticking your Nose up in the air”. or to be “High and Mighty”
Utilizing and understanding the functionality of all the modules associated with a given ship in this game is done through time and experience.

Amen brother, amen!
Also you use engineers to keep my xxxx alive so yes, thank you for explaining it!
Why is there even an discussion if something requires skill or not
Because players who assume they are good at this game wants to keep the difficulty curve steep and continue to make easy kills against less able players.
Suggest anything that will help beginners out and they will pull the ‘No Skill’ card.
There are also players that want games as dumb and as easy as possible so they always feel comfortable, that’s why we got a nerf on the Sharpnel and constant buffs on the Plasma Gun.
That happens in any game too.

Well do you think I talk about attack drones without time and experience as Engineer player?

Muh skillz :Dwop
No, Shrapnel was nerfed (changed) because it was an annoying weapon to play against, Ace or not Ace.

It was changed because n00bs couldn’t handle the fact that they couldn’t use and land a single hit with the weapons, while the veterans could wreck them to pieces (like they would do to any other weapon)
