Dragonfly

Lets see some other builds for the Dragonfly please - Would be interesting to see how many other different setups there are that work

Dat experimentals lol

That’s exactly twice as many experimentals on a single ship as I own for that entire tier, lol.

Ive got around 40 ish Purple Items for T3 alone

I’ll double that.

Kippsy, what implants do you have? I want to compare it with your setup.

I got about 60 total, ~30 in T3 ^^

Im aware I could change a few of the implants around to benefit the command and its diffusion shield abit more - But my implants are all geared towards speed where possible (As I mainly fly Inty’s)

And as you can see from the horizon and enhanced scanner modules - I like to be able to see far, and shoot from far away as well - I try not to engage front lines in the Dragonfly as its not really built for that

Well, fitting looks nice with the current implant combo. A little suggestion: switch to Empire R7 implant (at least to test it out). For commands i realized it’s the better out of all 3 R7. It also leaves a very nice energy amount and regen for intys. Also given current AB extra speed on top of base speed which is very low. If you were to fly commands on top of intys i’d also argue to get the R9 Jeri implant. It would help intys as well given the shield collision absorbtion bonus. It’s good all in all IMO.

Don’t have a Dragonfly to post fittings, but i doubt i’d do it anyways since i’m secretive in this matter by nature, sorry. If it’s for a tournament, i usually share only with participants and DEMAND further secrecy or they lose all my trust in one blow.

Let’s be honest, Kipps did this thread just to make us jelly about his experimentals :T

Damn and he succeeded.

Anyway I would change that Auxiliary Shield for a Asynchoronous Shield (low acceleration but more shield, considering your HUGE speed for a Dragonfly I think you would be ok) and the Scanner for a Proton Wall (I think it’s better some ECM protection rather than some sensor range)

EDIT: I’m not using my Dragonfly nowdays but that’s how I would build it:

Oh, one more thing: Gauss is DEFINITELY not a command ship gun. Just believe me on that one. However if you feel more comfy with it on top of the others it’s all fine.

The AB capacitor decrease is a blessing in my eyes, not so much problems with cap while cap capacity doesn’t help 1 bit with cap stability

I just noticed there’s no Proton there. I’d also suggest replacing sensor range with Proton.

What does Async Shield do again?

EDIT: it did for me at current loadouts Funky.

Its used to be FULL purple untill they changed the modules - I ran a couple of purple Iridium heatsinks on the old setup to boost the DPS

Increases shield regen speed

That’s a “NO” then. Keep what you have on it. Commands rely on ‘on-the-spot’ tanking, not ‘in-between fights’ regeneration. That’s for interceptors, tacklers, probably LRFs and sometimes (rarely) gunships, can’t think of others. But definitely not commands.

Async Shield gives more shield reducing your acceleration. EDIT: Oh wait I meant Shield Projection Splitter not the Async Shields.

I would also ask Kipps to tell us what stats those experimentals give (I mean, the resist, damage and speed of the command mods)

My bad I meant Shield Projection Splitter.

Now i’m getting confused xd

If you plan on fitting a shield regen mod, look at what i posted above.

Indeed AS will give him more shield than the simple mod, but he has a damn low acceleration. Dunno if it will fit him better.

Again, my bad, look at my editet post so you will not get confused, I just confused the names of the mods (because their xxxx pic is so similar I swapped the names)

I think it would fit him, because at the end his top speed is awesome, and I with that energy stats he rarely will stop afterburning, I don’t know, I played with that item and the low acceleration didn’t harm me. (I think it’s player prefference afterall)

Those capacitor modules are no longer available for purchase in T3, so i refuse myself from using these modules on any of my ships in T3 :0
