Medals should be like tokens. You should be able to get some bonuses out of them.

They are just rare as hell, I have 3 in total… That was 2 years ago, and that’s just because I killed the same guy 3 times in Capture the Beacons… Then he was out of ships 
Medals have been disabled since mid of open beta, way befor Cinnamon and Doom joined the team, they may not be aware that medals are off intentionaly. That is unless they reenabled them recently.
Yep, it was some sort of “achievement” unteel open beta.
Now it’s not available anymore.
