as compensation for the trouble with the matchmaking system from patch 0.6.1 we decided to create an event where all of you will gain twice the amount of reputation in battle. The matchmaking should be fixed now and the event will last until the next patch.

It will last until the next patch. This could be on Thursday, but it could also be later.
Yes, it should give you the double amount of reputation after the end of the battle.
