It’s December the 3rd and as far as I know the sale ends today. I remember it saying December the 3rd on the steam sale too, though.
If steam haven’t changed their sale, perhaps it’s an arbitrary decision on their part, or some contractual agreement, or a misunderstanding somewhere, or a technical fault.
I run the non-steam client yet I bought DLC on steam. However, my account was originally linked with steam. I believe the trick is to have the same email address for your steam account and the game.
If you want to take advantage of the steam sale but have star conflict setup on the non-steam client, I’m fairly sure you still can. No promises though.
What I would try is:
Download star conflict on steam
Try to log in to your account (provided the steam and star conflict account email addresses match)
If it works and you’re online on your account, and you still want to buy it, buy it.
Log into the game via steam - all DLC should be allocated to your account and will remain on your account regardless which client you choose to run in the future.
I did it like this and it worked. If you want to try based off my experiences feel free, but I’m not responsible if it doesn’t work… which it should
Bare this in mind: ** I did this 2-3 days ago, when the sale was certainly active. **I’m confident if you add it to your steam basket, checkout and it still states half price, you should be good.
Price seems to be the right one on steam, but I’m not using steam…
So please provide a solution, or I won’t buy anything.
Thanks.
Steam sales are Steam sales. When you accept to publish your games in there, you also accept their rules, and when the special sale days come, you must put your product with discount. But the main website is from Gaijin and Gaijin alone, so they can do what they want there.
