It was 7:30 in the morning here when they did it, obviously with my EU timezone I had 0 chances to do it.
It was 12:30 am for me.
Well, it was 03:28 in the morning for me, 0 chances to do it since I were sleeping xD
The devs would have to stay up all night for those in the Americas. I’d like a chance at a few hundred GS. I’d ask for an option make it start from the time a play logs in to the forums, but I sometimes browse the forums a little before work and I can’t dedicate a lot of time to the trainings in the morning. If it were a 24 hour thing, so many would apply, and I’d still be the 20th person.

It is intended to give some fun while the servers are down for maintenance and patches so it starts once the servers are get temporary unavailable.
