Pilots! We continue to share the latest changes that will appear on the game servers in the upcoming updates. Among them are new modes, events, and of course, ships!

Today we will tell you about the new Jericho frigate - Naglfar

Naglfar is another engineering marvel of the Sentinels. It’s not known for certain what the ship was originally like. According to preliminary information, the fleet of these frigates was sent to Sector 1337, but after another impulse, the communication with it was lost.

The rumors of a horrific incident are spreading across the pubs. One of the ships landed at the UMC station to replenish the fuel and ammo supplies. The color of the Sentinel’s hull was different from the common colors of Jericho. Moreover, the frigate seemed to emit a glow similar to the glow Precursors’ artifacts. Shortly after the landing, something unbelievable happened. The people around the ship started to lose their minds. Many people screamed that the damn AI was trying to steal their souls, that it was getting into their heads. It took less than an hour for the same thing to happen in all corners of the station. The station staff was killing themselves. People were pulling out their fingernails and were ripping pieces of meat off their hands with their teeth. And everything went quiet. Watching this, the Sentinel didn’t do anything. AI has no conscience or shame, but this terrible sight has become firmly embedded in the artificial mind. Being aware of its guilt, the ship left the station. All it could do was to warn his brothers so that no one would make the same mistake again.

During the searches, the Sentinel met a mercenary. His mind was not affected by the detrimental effects of the defiled ship. After listening to the story, he gave the frigate its name - Naglfar. Since then, they have become eternal companions.

Currently, other ships of this type have begun to appear. Fearless mercenaries are not afraid of rumors and make contact with the ships. Perhaps their minds are also protected from ancient curses.

The unique feature of the ship is the “collection of enemy souls”. Sounds ominous, doesn’t it? By destroying enemy ships within a certain radius, Naglfar will receive the “material” or the so-called “souls”, a resource for its special module.

Having accumulated enough souls, the ship can place them in its “its clone”, which repeats the behavior of the main ship. Enemy souls imprisoned in the ship will serve Naglfar until its last breath, or the last charge passed through the circuitry. Each clone will have its own weapons. The more souls Naglfar has accumulated, the more clones can be created. Of course, you can’t summon an entire army in a single battle - the central control system of a single ship is not capable of controlling an entire fleet simultaneously.

Witnesses say that the behavior of the risen souls is distinctive from the leader’s ship. Those who manage to survive speak of a strange fog enveloping the ghost ships. It is likely that the fog “emerges” from the River Styx, on which Charon transports the souls of the dead. Who knows when Naglfar steals the soul…

The Naglfar’s unique weapon allows the main ship to engage in positional combat while its ghost servants - clones - will be covering the ship. If the enemy has been destroyed within a certain time after being hit, the ship steals his hull resistance for some time.

The active module allows the menacing dragon named Naglfar to become a main support point for his team. The ship greatly increases the density of matter around itself, increasing its own resistance and increasing it for each ally in a certain radius, depending on their number. At the same time, the ship goes into offensive mode and increases its own speed.

So what I’m seeing from this is a few things:

  1. This is yet another Halloween ship, isn’t it?
  2. This has to be a Guard - LRFs don’t play with resistances and speed for their uniques typically
  3. Ghost servants? I’m hoping this isn’t like Tornado’s twins - players aren’t very fond of dealing with more of that.

Either way, I hope this thing isn’t yet another Halloween DLC ship since Black Ghost (why is it still temproary) and Plague Doctor already fill the part and if this thing is actually craftable, please don’t make PvE players do PvP again.

I’ve had enough Cluster Torpedoes burned into my retinas.

So another new frigate after frigate?

Come on, SC!

Where did interceptors and fighters go?

Give some love to these roles.

Please, this time, dont create him an unique weapon with 2 fire mod by charging it. Majority of players dont like that and we already get lot of this style of weapons.

Gonna put destructor laser on this for sure, so the bot can auto aim and drain energy.

Also I would really appreciate a rank 17 empire gunship, not another frigate,

We already have 10 rank 16-17 frigates, only 5 fighters and 4 interceptors.

Jericho faction is about shield power and then this anomaly… steals hull resistances? Feels wrong, even if it is a mutated frigate.

I’m imagining a death net/ball moving formation of zombies. Kill the main ship and the rest will fall. Keep killing the clones and you waste your efforts. Game of ‘Where’s Naglfar?’.

It feels like what the Waz’got could and should have been, creating allies from the wreckage of enemies.

It would be interesting to see how this ship will measure up to a support command ship.

I hope for a palom mk6.

Yet another ship. Frigate - probably a slow one. When are we supposed to find time for all of this?

I prefer to have only one ship, configurable, updatable, capable of doing everything.

I have 261 ships already, but I’m not sure if I will be progressing any further with new ships after the fiasco of Protazan event. I cannot spend that much time any longer.

When we will see some DLCs with a fictional, adventure, or RPG-like content with some stories in this universe?

I prefer to see new interceptors and DLCs with only premium ships of 17 level.

wait a second, palom is a premium guard frigate available for straight GE. if you count the number of frigates based off the standard tech tree skins available for straight GE the you get exactly 5, with patriarch being the last one. is this a hint that this new frigate will be a premium at rank 16/17?

I would like to see the ellies get finished. That was started several years ago. I want an elly tackler…

Looks like another guard. Hopefully not another seasonal waste of time like the Black Ghost. I am pretty sure that’s what this is.  At least give it a nice troll weapon like a warp gun that teleports them to some random spot on the map, maybe even a thud metal just for lulz. Since the devs want to troll us, why not let us all get a laugh.

This person does not speak for the majority, please feel free to disregard their horrible opinion.

Also this ^^^^^
The latest tackler ship came out around 3-4 years ago, which is Singularity.

Of course, i never said i speak for the majority, i just share my opion. And the best way to know what players globaly think about those charged weapons, would be to do a survey. ![:):](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/).png “:):”)
Sincerly,

(P.S Respect-full thing would be to not judge that someone’s opinion is horrible or not)

I would actually love to see that kind of data. Like an actual game survey about charged weapons and multi-use weapons.

I personally love having multiple ways to use the same weapon, but I know people may not like that due to accessibility or other reasons.

Charging may not be the best mechanism for this either, though I highly doubt the devs will ever implement a keybind for switching weapon modes.

Phaser is still the best multishot weapon for me ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)

Agreed. 3 functions in one and all of them are super useful. I wish that weapon worked on other not-command ships.
