The real question here is… Why would you even use that module in PvP?.. Other those useless Beacon capture fits, that is.

I saw one come in with a gunship from half the map away on a combat recon match, once. I shot at him, told the team. Five seconds later, captain is dead.
Whoops.
Ory, you are generalizing too much, as usual
I know, but I’m just stating it as it is. The Cruise Engine nulifies one of your Engine slots for something that other roles can do just as well. Might I add WITHOUT neutering your Capacitor if you, like me, find yourself in the middle of nowhere with no Engineer support (as happens 90% of the time on PuG matches)?

Thank you, come again.
Cruise Engine is not a brawling module, it is a repositioning module, there are some Fighter roles-builds that benefit from it greatly, due to the fact that they sux at brawling anyways, but with this module they can avoid it and take a better position in much more efficient way. On top of that Gunships can overcome this downside with overdrive as a last resort. So no, it is not useless in PvP, far from it.
Oh, you mean those cowards that sit 6-7km away from everything shooting at you?

sorry, but it does not imply importance, it implies only, that we are crazy enough to come back with an idea even if we get it wrong the first couple thousand times.
if you were more active in the game, you would just know that (at the moment, so no offense)
everybody knows, that we are not top 10. but we love to play together.
And everyone knows, some of us have used this from day 1.
and yes, the cruise module has its usecases. some ships, like the parallax, e.g. work well with it; and as a tackler pilot i always regarded it as actually less useful than a silent fox, if your team does not help you. It’s half a gunship in a way. So it’s also not the only fit a parallax can go with, but it’s a viable one.
Putting in the cruise module, and act like it’s the same fighter as before will get you killed. You will tap afterburner far too much because you are used to it. You will still try to outmanouver in dogfights, even though you know, you actually are worse with it now. You will still see the map too narrow, and not know what ships bear which danger to you, because things are just different at mach speed. You will notice completely different weapons killing you, than usual.
But that is before you see, what you can actually do with it, what a recon can’t. Before you start to watch for the right moment to come in a vector, do some damage and move out another.
You are of course right, that it is not a “major impact” into PvP. It is not an imba fit, you will use in every situation, every map. And more likely, most fighters will rely on it as Kostyan said, to reposition.
But it’s far from “PvP unusable”.
(But to quote a teammate, so that module has it’s pros and contras:
“No, not again this S…ship, we will lose!”)

At least these were before my hiatus:
Freeze-beam Tacklers (Kat-AE & Lance-AE, unsure on Sword-AE)
Ion/Gauss D-Eagle/Nukem (4-5km, iirc, not quite 6-7km, but still VERY far away from the combat area), same on higher Tiers.
Any Fighter with 2 CPU slots can be used for this, imo. It’s ridiculous, the way they just sit there, top of the map, shooting down at you and if you so much as aim at them, they cloak away then reappear to proceed shooting at you from above. They deal zero damage, they’re just there to farm the assist points.
I’m shocked that these fits are used by pilots, yet provide almost no helpfulness to their team.

SOOOOOOOOOOOORRY for gaining some mental health over the past 6 months. And, ofc, the point is to always have fun. But some things in this game are just not funny. At all.

Other way around, dove. High SR, low W/L ratio.

aren’t we all a bit :fed015: ?
but yeah, and yeah. and no need to excuse yourself for anything, i found your pun funny.
I’m torn on g4’s content point. On the one hand I don’t see the point of Dev Blogs if they’re just going to repost a watered down copy of last week’s patch notes with some pretty pictures, but on the other hand it was seriously frustrating being told “in two weeks we’re going to xxxx the game up!” and then spend a fortnight watching the Devs ignore everyone who points out the glaringly obvious problems.

Hey at least they are finally talking to us. That’s a start.
All they are missing is the ‘listening’ portion.
EDIT: Also, I cannot express how insanely happy I am that players underestimate the Cruise Module. I have a plan. A wonderfully, evil, brilliant plan. Come December, you won’t think the Cruise Module is quite so useless… MU HA HA HA HA!!!

the pve mission seem much better now. but i noticed some players still complaint about how easy they can run through it.
suggestion: why not implement a difficulty selection. e.g. easy (which will be like current state), medium and hard. each level will have a different rewards payout. its up to the player to get more experience before advancing into higher level of difficulty. each difficulty level should have an obvious bots spawning time and firepower different.
if the queue for a selected difficulty level exceed a timer, it will automatically en-queue onto a lower difficulty setting level. this will eliminate the long wait time for those elite players waiting for a hard level while all goes with easy.
this game will be even better!!! :008j:
I have a feeling that you are one of the Russian developers or someone working for the devs. Always trying to say comments like how the game is getting better. It’s a conspiracy!

Nope, devs are marked as devs.
