Developer Blog from December 10th: Destroyers!

I think they misspell it.

of course you think so

Every single match? We are not playing in the same game. Ok, yes flux phasor is annoying but not much people have it.

Maybe Im wrong but… interceptors fight in close range in every match? I didn’t see any interceptors attacking from more than 2-3 km. Im also playing sometimes interceptors and I dont understand your cry.

frigates shoot from 5-6 kilometers not interceptors, interceptors shoot from 1-2km (except plasma gun 2600meters) and that is what makes them weaker in camp fest matches.

Yeah? I would love to see that. You would be probably wrecked by single interceptor.

We can try any time you like in custom battle…

frigballs??i dont see any frigballs in pvp, only intyswarms

Not all frigates shoot from 5-6 km. Most of them can reach you from about 4-5km. But there is a problem. When frig is using blaster then it really cant do much dmg to you from that range. But will be able to kill you from 2 km. From the other hand if frig is using positrons then it probably won’t able to hit you from 2 km and less. Every weapon has a weak points.
How long is it take for interceptor to travel 3-2km with high speed? When every frig can kill you… well… you probably don’t know how to attack them. Also when you are attacking whole frig formation alone… don’t be surprised when you die.

And Im poor interceptor pilot so… But when you would use one hand as you said…

OH WOW! 2 frigs vs 3 frigs and 3 vs 5. And why you didint show the slider to show how many players were there? You show only 5 first players. I’ve never encountered match like the first you’ve show (if there were really only frigs).

And the worst part is that you even lost, that’s quite a shame.

Frigballs are easy to counter, in most gamemodes, in team battle you need to use your brain and most people refuse to do so, and that’s the issue. Ceptor Swars… Hoh wait, play Leagues and I’ll promise that frigballs is the last thing you’ll see. Because Ceptor Swarms are way more of a problem, dealing damage, stunning ur a$$ or simply warping around and annoying everybody without being able to hit them all, while frigates are not moving much and hard to miss. So instead of saying stupid stuff, watch at the real problem and think. Frigballs are being used because they are easy to play, ceptor swarms are being played because they are OP.

Then just shut up

i don’t play leagues.and i’m talking about random pvp

Oh. From ONE MATCH? Then it’s even less acquire. And yeah… tell me to shut up when you can’t win discussion.

Yeah, exactly. If you paste screens from only one match how it possibly can prove that you are right? If you would paste here screens from 10 - 20 matches which take place in short time intervals then yeah, you could be right and prove that you are right.

There is a huge difference between general random PvP that is a combination of different game mods and fully unorganised pilots vs organised play on a single game mod, ie League .

Where dit you get an idea to even compare that.

Issue with mass frigates in random pvp is that they 100s time easier to be effective to certain extend, while being total Ace, interceptors requier certain base “abilities”, and i dont think you are gonna be surprised if tell you that 90% of random pvp players arent exactly in a possesion of such abilities

And what do you want? Put those n00bs into Ceptors where they are totally useless? I prefer fighting annoying frigspam instead of having useless people on my team and lose then.

they are gonna be offencively useless in any ship, but atleast stupid team battles that are full of useless interceptors fighters are dynamic and fun, while frig ball mexican stand of is just mindblowingly boring

But nerfing frigates further would not fix it, Rakza would get mad and nothing is solved, and changing of Frigates will not happen… Maybe the destroyers will help, at least I hope so.

Show me where i said nerf frigates, eventhough imho t3 BloodT, styx and cruises - 10% survivabiloty wouldnt hurt, but w/e

Styx is very slow (but still powerful - I admit as its pilot) but BT yes. I thought couple times that its a bit OP.

It’s the only way to satisfy people who hate frigs.

T3 is a unbalanced place considering frigates anyways.

It’s not, do you think that the true Periodic table does have a role in name giving? Neodium just sounds smoother, and who knows… It could be an element created by humanity somewhen later, and neodymium had smth to do with it’s creation. Like with aluminium, you will not find it in the environment in it’s form we use, but as bauxite. So we have to make it ourselves but in this reallife time period we haven’t figured out how to get neodium out of neodymium so far!

Bauxite is a mineral containing a bunch of aluminum oxide. It exists, and we refine it to get a pure metallic product, typically made into cheap materials with yet another layer of aluminum oxide on the outside due to the fact that aluminum is ridiculously reactive.

Iridium is a platinum group metal. known for being hard, dense, and valuable, much as its in-game equivalent. Although iridium is, in fact, silvery, rather than green. Although although there’s probably a green iridium compound out there, since it was named after the goddess of rainbows due to the sheer number of different colours it takes in different compounds.

Neodymium is a rare earth metal popularly known for its strong magnetic properties. It’s also rather difficult to find, and in limited supply on earth.

Neodium doesn’t exist.

C’moooon it bothers me so much ;_;

It will

NOT

be renamed.

Period.

Just to hurt you  :005j:

Neodium is so much easier to say than Neodymium, try saying it several times quickly :005j:

Its not easy for you? Oh I would love to hear how you trying to say some polish words.

edit. BTW try to say that. Ununoctium
