Developer Blog entry from September, 3rd

i don’t really get why the empire gets 2 shield and 2 hull modules. it should either have 3 hull modules, or the fed frig at least one shield passive - fed do use a bit more shieldytanky but generally seem to approach balanced - however still with a light emphasis on shields.

While you are at it, please create a Grab All button next to compose, to get all item related emails and auto take their items. That would be wonderful.

Imagine Styx with 3x Heavy armor, healing beacon right there :))))

So I am going to take baby ships every match now. Thanks devs… Oh and don’t forget to check player rank at the beginning of the match to FOCUS FIRE the immortals. Lame. This is not going to fix the queue problems. Its going to make people play t3 more again ooer t2.

Class specific modules will only encourage cookie cutters more than they already are.

Below we want to provide a list of all modules that will be affected by this change:

  • It is planned, that this module will only be usable on Interceptors.

  • It is planned, that this module will only be usable on Fighters on T2 and higher.

  • This module will be purchasable on T4 and higher.

  • This module will be purchasable on T4 and higher.

  • This module will increase the shield strength and reduce the acceleration of the ship. In addition this module will only be usable on Frigates.

  • It is planned, that this module will only be usable on Interceptors. In addition this module will only be active when your ship is flying at max speed. It will increase the shield and hull resistances.

  • This module will be purchasable on T4 and higher.

  • It is planned, that this module will only be usable on Frigates on T2 and higher.

  • This module will be purchasable on T1 and higher.

  • It is planned, that this module will only be usable on Fighters on T3 and higher. This module will increase the hull resistances and reduce the rotation speed of the ship.

  • This module will be purchasable on T4 and higher.

  • This module will be purchasable on T2 and higher.

  • This module will be purchasable on T4 and higher. The old bonus will be removed and the module will increase critical damage instead. Players who already own this module will be able to keep it, but with the new bonus.

  • It is planned, that this module will only be usable on Interceptors.

  • This module will be purchasable on T1 and higher. It will increase the ship speed, but also the energy consumption of the afterburners.

There is an update for you: Those modules that were planned to be usable only by specific class, will be availible for all. So, Emergency Barrier, Pulse Discharger etc. can be installed on any other ship as before. So, you will be able to use all of your modules as you did before. Moreover, modules that were moved higher in tier will still be availible to those players who have and use them now!

Thanks for the update AntiBus! Good to atleast know of the changes you decide to make( to the patch)

Any update on the refunding?

Any update on the refunding?

You will still be able to use all of the modules, and most of them were just tweaked. If, however you suppose that premium module you have bought is not the same as it was before and you would like to get your money back, you can contact with our Support team! Though these modules are more or less getting better.

You mean if someone already have the module in t3 , he can keep using it, but you can’t buy a new one of the same kind in t3 after patch?

Erm, if this is , don’t you think it is just a little bit unfairy for new players?

I think refound blue and premium and change experimentals in t4 is better.

Ah, lovely, now what about Passive weapon enhancers, like the Horizon? Will we be forced to choose between those and the CPU or something?

All the other announced changes remain the same.

All the other announced changes remain the same.

Announcement tries really hard to avoid explaining what will happen to weapon passives. Will they still exist or not is the question ?

Have we mentioned anywhere that ‘modules will be deleted and will never retun back MWUAHAHAHAHA’? No. Horizon and all the other modifiers will still be there in game.

Getting better? You mean all those nerfs to the modules are supposed to make *them* BETTER? You have a weird sense of buffing modules…

Just refund all the changed modules for the love of god. BETA or not(Which is just a lame and outdone excuse) the best way to go in my eyes is this:

Refund the changed modules if they are mk1/2/military/3.

Make current experimentals in our hangar go up in tier if needed.(Since refunding GS is bullshit cause it’s a 30% chance if you use GS looting so likely we will end up with less experimentals then we had)

This reminds me of the heavy weapons and nukes in T2 in the past…

Antibus, I know it is not really my decision but let me say this:

The last time it caused a totally unfair gameplay, so don’t let us keep modules that will no longerer be available.

And WHERE will we be able to put the weapon modifier? Since there is no specific slot for it.

Edit: Sorry for my unkindness there, but I also made a mistake which I made somewhat clearer

And WHERE will we be able to put the weapon modifier? Since there is no specific slot for it.

It was moved to the right side of the weapon slot apparently. It’s still there.

That is the ammunition, we are talking about weapon modifiers(That were passives in the past)

And I can already guess how my CPU modifiers will change on all my ships…

yeey anti-ecm!

Oh, those… in the blend? They confirmed former passives and ship mods have been blended together… that’s where they are i guess.

No more sniping for Error in his LRF then haha.

Oh well, I suppose I’ll wait till tomorrows patch notes…Let’s see how many stealth changes there will be this time!

  • Interceptors Now Explode every 15 sec even if none hit them.

I will not be surpreized if we ll read something similar sooner or later. Couse it looks like they are doing everyting for descourage ppl from playing ceptors :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m gonna keep pushing because I actually want a definitive answer on this one. Where will they be fitted into in the new slot layout? Because those were PASSIVE modules that don’t fit into any of the current Ship Modification slots (in case you’ve forgotten, those would be Engine, Armor, Shield, Energy and CPU)…
