Srs Question time.
What about Missiles and Weapon Modifiers?
Do we have to do this for EVERY module we buy or can we buy one, upgrade it, then buy the upgraded versions, at least up to Mk3s (in the same Tier, I mean)?

If we must do the same for every single module and weapon we adquire, then we’ll be suffering a lot. Even more grind/farm.

There will be no mk gradation for Ammo modules
1:1 of what we earned. The question isn’t about absolute numbers however, but upgrade prices.
If the prices were extremely low, then im ok with it. However if it costs lets say, 10 or 20k to upgrade to mk3, then that would upset me
“These changes allow us to revisit the possibility of four-player squads! It should be noted that the new settings mean that the larger and stronger the link is, the stronger opponents will be found.”
Yay four man squads…
Please define 'the larger and stronger the link is"?
Is this determined by the number of squad members + Destroyed Ships Rating?
I hope the matchmaking finally will seperate the tiers for combat ie you will only play against ship ranks/tiers up to and including the highest rank/tier ship in the squad?
No, in PvE match, purple loot point, wich you can get only once a day, will drop only two things: purple mod. kits or documents - for loyalty. No Mk.2 mod. kits.
Every kit is specific for some module, kits are not one-size-fits-all. You may disassemble Mk.4 kits and weapons/modules and get artifacts. You can sell Mk.2 kits.
Can the loot amount be boosted? I don’t like it when the amount of loyalty I get is less than some contracts. It’s a real disappointment for me.
Well, I would rather have either Tier-less upgrade kits for different sections or simply Tier-based upgrade kits, if it has to be, the combination of it.
T2 Assault Railgun Upgrade, e.g. seems very specific, it’s actually one item without the item, which only means I have to buy the Mk1 version to get an Mk2.

Considering the history of these changes, I predict you’re going to be extremely upset.
The only obvious good thing is preventing instant premiums. The rest we don’t know yet.

we are sorry for this mistranslation - it says the larger and stronger the squad is.

Please, be more attentive. We have already answered to that question - there will be no Mk. missiles or weapon modifiers. There will be one level for all the ammo. The power of this ammo will be around current Mk. 3.

BINGO! In reality nothing has changed. Because the upgrade kits are so specific as to the part they will upgrade, it doesn’t make any difference from before when you might have looted a Tier 2 Mk. 2 Railgun vs. now looting a Tier 2 Mk. 2 Railgun upgrade kit. It’s the exact same thing.
BUT it’s now more devious. Why? Because it actually increases the grind to get Mk. 4 gear.
Now you cannot loot a Tier 2 Mk. 4 Railgun and instantly use it like before. NOW, you must already have a Mk. 3 item of the exact same Tier/Type as the Mk. 4 upgrade kit to instantly use the item. Which means that if all you have is Mk. 1 gear, you have to wait until you have progressed through Mk. 2 and Mk. 3. And that means grinding.
So if you just got your first Tier 5 ship complete with Mk. 1 gear, your wallet and loyalty are gone because it’s dang expensive at Tier 5, and you get lucky enough to loot a Tier 5 Mk. 4 Ion Emitter Upgrade Kit… TOO BAD. You have to grind through Mk. 2 and Mk. 3. No more instant Mk. 4 weapons for you.
So what does that mean for the average player?
If you weren’t lucky enough to get all Mk. 3 gear before the update like some corporation members were, your life just got a lot harder. The Mk. 3 Veteran pilots will use their stores of artifacts to upgrade to Mk. 4. Meanwhile, if you are lucky enough to loot a Mk. 4 upgrade kit, AND you’re lucky enough that it’s actually the right Tier/Type of kit, you still have to grind through Mk. 3 to use it.
Because giving low-level players Mk. 4 gear that comes with the batteries already installed is lame… some assembly required is the way of the future.
P.S. This also gives credence to the rumor that has been circulating about pay-to-loot going away and becoming 100% loot chance again. Why? Because with this new system, players who don’t have enough loyalty to instantly use a looted Mk. 4 upgrade kit are far more likely now to pay to upgrade to Mk. 3 so they don’t have to wait to use their new toy. The dev team must have hired someone new, because this is waaay to sneaky and clever to be the same guys that came up with the pay-to-break loot system.

Sorry. I’ve been exhausted in the past 2 weeks. The game being continuously dumbed down isn’t helping at all…

We are improving our game with every patch and making it more understandable, moreover many goals of our players are now easier to reach. This is not dumbing down - this is making it all clear.

Great…interesting…In he past I bought some premium weapons modifiers…(kind of 7-8)…Will i be refunded for those galactic standards…?

All your modifiers will stay with you until you use them. You just won’t be able to buy more of them after the patch.

The game WAS clear before the Missile changes. Was it balanced? Maybe not, but the game was actually FUN to play. Not anymore. Not since that patch. We’ve been forced to change our entire fits more times than I can count and for what? For balance purposes? Ok, I’m perfectly fine with that. But “balance” isn’t “dumbing down”. The missile changes and the Weapon Modifier removal brought exactly both.
I know it’s hard to get it in the devs’ heads because all they see is balance. But, in the process, they ruined 2 ship classes (and, by ruin, I mean changed their playstyle drastically), you removed any and all tactical purposes off Missiles having reduced it to a Macross-spam and rewarding death by giving us a free reload (Oh, just spent your nuke on a suicide run? No problem, man, here, have another, don’t worry about the 3min cd timer, that’s gone).
Any and all balance issues have all but been forsaken unless it nerfs the Frigball (and yes, there are still several of these issues gone unresolved and you know what they are) and most weapons, since the revamp, are still useless in their current form throughout the majority of the Tiers…
The Passive Module revamp, albeit being good, requires a lot of thought on how to properly fit your ship so you don’t die the second you warp in. In an attempt to make the game easier, you broke a handful of Roles, forcing the pilots that were already accustomed to a certain playstyle with a certain Ship Role to woefully abandon it in exchange to, what some feel like, a wrongful way of play. Unfortunately, as the game is still in “beta”, we’re forced to swallow our tongue and allow these things to happen.
One of which is the GTL (aka, Grand Theft Loot) where you must have amassed a grand amount of cash from pilots wanting those 30% Experimental drops only to have said loot ripped from their hands and turned to mush because, once again, “beta”.
But let’s be realistic about things. This new patch brings a handful of good things but, considering the past 8, or so, patches, it’s a drop of clean fresh water in a polluted ocean that is begging to be cleaned. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it as many times as I feel necessary:
This was a GOOD game. I’ve had countless hours of fun flying in it. Right now… It isn’t. At all. I play to get the daily x2 and get immediately bored stiff of anything in it. The game has stopped being fun. And fixing THAT takes priority over anything else.
Everyone reaches a burnout point…Take a break for a few days or a few weeks. Go play another game actively and forget about SC for a short bit. That is what I did and it helped a lot.
This game is in some ways being dumped down I agree, but far from completely, fits are more and more the same because some modules are just not worth it at all and some ships are just terrible(CovOps without EmergencyBarrier…Really…)
And I got a lot of things I would like to see a change for, but the next patch seems in theory(God knows how the actual implementation will be) a good thing, although it holds a huge possibility of unfairness towards the old players just like the Loyalty 15 patch did.
All of those are irrelevant, there is still no pink color T_T
