Well, escape velocity is 11.2 km/s, so 1100 m/s is pretty far from it. But if it can keep up it’s speed, than it’s irrelevant, you can leave orbit with 1 m/s if you keep it up.
Yep. I wish asteriods in star conflict had a MINOR gravity effect. like slowly pull you in closer

They do but your navigation computer auto-compensates. Prove me wrong.
Wow! In that 26 second video you have restored all my faith in the devs of this game and kept me as a (non-paying but still playing) customer for the next months.
Thank you soooo much!!! :)wt
Edit: and those photos are awesome!!! Can’t wait for the map to be out

It’s pretty easy: you are not getting faster going straight into an asteroid. Although, asteroids of this size would have such a weak pull it’s almost unmeasurable.
guys i have the builds im ready to colect items and of cource i have an inquisitor for pvp XD
Personally, I cannot wait for the new map. :yes_yes:
I have a friend that was the lead mechanic for the SR71. He showed me blue prints and everything. That plane or ship or what ever that thing is classifed as was WAY ahead of its time.
Also on topic, Is there gonna be like a “Tractor beam” light or something visible instead of a counter to signify capturing materials?
Indeed, it is the only know serial aircraft which featured hybrid jet / scramjet engines. In fact at Mach 3, the engine turbine just gave 10% of thrust. The additional 90% was given by the pressure drop and the fuel injection into the afterburner chamber.
It was also the first plane to be made with stealth signature. The main frame was so hot after cruising at mach 3, that the plane had to orbit the field for 30 mins to cool down before touching down.
Also, the fuel was specific for the plane, and with such a high ignition temperature, that you could throw a lighted match into a pool of fuel, and it wouldn’t flame.
Your friend was lucky. I would pay a lot just to be close of such engineering marvel.
I like this new prospect. Any hints how long we have to wait?
Also, some kind of harvesting beam would be indeed nice.
I am curious about what we can craft, and if there is commerce between these things, and how crafted stuff will impact pvp.

ksp planets must have smaller mass and gravity, since the crust is just 1 pixel thick… if you want to escape the solar system from earth, it’s even a bit above 42, because of the sun.
which leads us to the ultimate question of life and everything: how to get out of here!?
plz tell me when will the free space be released?
The Error occurred and announced that there is a secret.
Am I the only one who thinks it would be a much better idea to just come out and say “no promises, but we’re hoping to release in 3 weeks” or words to that effect?
It would be nice to have some sort of graphic leaving the ship and hitting the object. Make it simple and just use an old Heavy Laser or Heavy Rails graphic to the object.
That’s still a secret.
damit i cant wait anyway it will be a big surprize great job men this may be hard work but the game will change completely,
some of my sugestion is to craft ships with bluepritns that u will buy for the cost of the ships when u take them take rescources that it needs and build the ships same with modules this sounds great, grind kill raid build use’
also recources shuld be by stones big stone gives alot rescource small less, i woiuld like to make a thread with sugestions for that if there is a place for sugestion at this forum of cource
my propability chanse of releasing it next friday is 80% i cant wait, i have many ideas for this i would like to help u ddevelop that
Would be so cool to have a small robot drone to pick up the ore and place some ore into your ship. Going back and forth as if your a real prospector in the 42nd century.
Here is a good insperation
*not to scale*
Should we assume no patch this week by the way?

Yes. “Patches come when they are ready, they are not weekly”.

The weekend/holiday sale is the patch :)wt
