Since the Destroyers came out. it got me a bit hooked on destroyers.
Altho i have my fair share of opinions about them in pvp and something needs to be changed, but thats another topic.
Overall i find them fun to use…
Yeah Yeah… call me “n o o b”
Anyway since the waiting time to get into a pvp match is at times ridiculous long,
It made me be more productive and do other stuff while i wait for the “Boom” sounds
So instead of wasting my time in the chat “(and listen to Lampasha… try to quote meaning of life suff. jk :p)”.
I have been makeing my own model of a Destroyer.
It far from done… still tonz on it left but i wanted to share my WIP pictures so far.
I just do simple modeling as a hobby and find it fun
Here are a quick renders.
If you got some models of some ships youre working on etc. please share them
I dont like this particular model, but the rendering its pretty nice. Why not posting this in visual suggestions? It would be cool if someone else uploads models too
Suggestion: try using the T3 and 4 destroyers as reference (for size, amount of guns, modules, etc). This will increase the chances of getting your model into the game.

I didnt post this is the visual section since i belive it does not belong there. A better place might have been the fan art section.
Yeah it would be cool to see other models too.
The ship is not going into any games, if it does, it will be in unity as my own little project.
Just a tip. Making it look metallic will change everything. (change materials from current which look like… plastic? to metal)
yea. i know. but im not done with the ship yet. still have parts that needs to be uvmapped before i go ahead and texture the model.
I just used 3 colors for it now that can look a bit like matt plastic but i will change this ofcource.
But for me texturing takes more time that the actual modellig and i find it a bit tedious.
Anyway. thanks for your input guys. will trow up a few new renders i a few days.
has a bit of a cyberpunk influence, but could also be from a nintendo game. could also be slightly bab5, but for that it looks a bit clean.
a bit of unordered details on the ship might make it look less “fictional”. all the details seem like placed on the middle of empty faces on the mesh.
basicly a good design tries to come closer to usability, while keeping the art up, so i would definitely iterate over it, but its already nice for itself. that means for the gun batteries and details on this ship, a lot make me think, this isn’t a warship, that was built for real battle; the guns seem not very militaristic or used much, many of the details are rather ornaments. it’s like a herbivore with horns and armor, telling you, i am not a fighter, nor do i want to fight, but if you cross me, i got some laserz, and guns, but i wont tell you how effective they are. but if that is intended, then it is actually quite nice.
i am not a modeller tho, so might not be a helpful feedback.
i like the fact it has rear guns so its definitely not unequipped.
still nice to see what people do; thx for showing!

If you don’t know, I make tanks. I never texture them, just slap them with a metallic material. I still don’t know how to make and put texture on in a nice way (I know about uv mapping though)
