I’m sincerely hoping this was a simple mistake and not something intentional…
OK, so the background information you already know:
At lvl 4, the Archon can choose one of 3 abilities.
the first ability increases main weapon damage
the second ability reduces the spread of KINETIC WEAPONS and increases projectile speed.
the third such ability makes EM WEAPONS have a tighter spread and faster projectile speed
I hope you noticed I put the damage types in all caps… I did this for a reason…
as your already aware, the Archon has 2 weapons:
the Coilgun, a KINETIC DAMAGE weapon
and the Meson Canon, a THERMAL DAMAGE weapon
You probably noticed that I put the damage types in caps again… I did this for a reason… if you haven’t figured it out yet…
THE DAMAGE TYPES DON"T MATCH!
WORSE: A PLAYER BUILDING AN ARCHON CANNOT KNOW THAT THE ABILITY TO IMPROVE EM WEAPONS IS USELESS!!! (a player like me, for example, who is building their first destroyer, cannot know what weapons new ship class has without ever having one)
Basically, I expect you to make the third ability match the weapons available. and 6 million credits put on my star conflict account… I am going to have to pay to change the level 4 ability, and after it’s fixed, I’m going to have to change it back. I think it’s only fair that the ones responsible for this should cover the costs, since it’s 3 million credits per change. I also expect all those poor unfortunates who have built their first Archon Destroyer should also recieve compensation for what they, too, must spend to adjust to this error made by the developers.
