So, I felt like getting my Inferno medal (destroy 18 with thermal). 23 destroys, plus 5 or 6 assists - with beam cannon. Got zero medals in the 'destroy n ships with thermal" category. Not one single medal in that category. I didn’t even use the harpy’s special. I only used beam cannon. Maybe purple ammo disqualifies you??? Anyway, this seems like a bug.
Do it another time, profit.

Maybe you died several times. As far as I know, to get a medal you must stay alive the whole time, or the counter starts at 0 again. I’m not sure though because I rarely get any medals.

Most likely they have messed up with medal rewards in T1, so sealclubbers like you couldn’t get stat padding by playing small games.

Medal kill counter resets at death. Considering it’s kaiju, I’d believe that to be the truth.

I just noticed I didn’t have that medal, so I though an easy way to pick it up would be to play ONE tier one battle. Anyone who knows me knows I only play t5 now that they ruined t4 by counting it in with t5.

I’d have been good if you provided at least a screenshot of the match scoreboard. Not sure if it’s a bug but I can’t do much with that info.

T4 and T5 are no longer mixed. Sealclubbing in just one match may be all than is needed to turn away a beginner. You might have just ruined the fun of a beginner’s first, and because of you, and last match. At least you got your GD medal.
That is also why Invasion ammo should not be allowed in T1 but that’s none of my business.
