Demomen's radioactive cloud is dealing 0 thermal damage!

What happened?

Demomen’s thermal cloud from Reactor Overload module is not dealing thermal damage to ships or objects.

Demomen’s explosions will damage the ship or objects, but the thermal cloud itself will not damage anything.

This was tested only with Tier V ships of Rank 15. I suspect that this bug is present at any Rank.

 

What should happen?

Demoman’s thermal cloud should deal continuous thermal damage while you’re inside of it.

This change happened with the 1.5-update. Prior to 1.5-update, the player received continuous thermal damage from the thermal cloud from ‘Reactor overload’.

 

How to reproduce this bug:

  • Enter PvE scenario - Fire Support or Defence Contract.
  • Destroy a Demomen’s swarm.
  • Enter Demomen’s thermal cloud. (Visible icon notification on the HUD will trigger, and damage indicators will show 0 incoming damage - a bug.)

All reactor overload clouds don’t deal damage any more. All you get is buff assists from them. XD

oh … do you use that module enough to put up with defense Contract dealing an extra 100,000 damage you can’t fly out of in time ?

you absolute prick! why would you mention this!? now they’re going to focus on fixing this as opposed to the bugs that people actually want fixed!

Oh yeah, because the cloud is so much worse than the explosion, even when it dealt damage it barely did more than the passive shield regen.
