Just wondering, is this the instrument that will deconstruct the game, if so its doing a pretty good job ! What was the original intention and this weapon, the way it is right now, I have no idea and would like to think it was implemented in error. There aint much to explain about this gun, I’m sure everyone knows what it is. The question is will it be fixed or not…
Out of pvp till it does and if it doesnt then adios amigos, this virtual gun/pixel has really frustrated me to a point I’m about to quit this game regardless how great I think it is.
I’ve seen a patern, an OP item gets released from time to time. More or less I can see why but the deconstructor went over the top, I’m not blaming the players that use it but the ones that implemented it the way it is right now.
I’d like some official reply here, please do not use this thread to rant or flame nor make a post with imaginery assumptions. No need for “pros” and their toxic words, just plain and simple something from an official source.
The Weapon is as much OP as the Overclocked Blaster is OP, they both use the approach to balance the weapon with Energy Consumption, which is imo a bad idea. But you can counter both quite easily either ECM, Cov Ops (Projectile Iradiation), NY18 (Destructor + Energy systems destabilizer) or a Command with Thermal Energy Burner (that weapon is still OP at close range).
The only problem with such counters is r7c and r8c implants which do make it way to easy to have always energy (but then you sacrifice you ability to counter tacklers easily), but nearly no one uses them.
Imo that weapon should just have its explosion radius removed so that it isn’t so easy to hit with it and r8c implant also reduced in active time. The dmg it self wouldn’t then be that problematic any more (maybe 5-10% dmg reduction but not more).

Take r7 Jericho Implant and just crash into the next wall. You will have enough energy after that.

Yeah that gun is quite wierd… OP most of the time, but when you encounter object… you can’t fire for 20 sec straight… the thing to do would be change the projectile damage from explosive to impact, remove the bonus crit damage tht goes directly to the hull and remove energy consumption that would make the gun decent, not bad, not op.

deconstructor is also cancer. I’m used to having to work for kills but with deconstructor it’s easy and boring. I only play that ship when i want to grief, and now it seems i have to level my object so i can enhance my ability to make people uninstall with energy burner.

1b helps since decon is an explosion weapon and interceptors have high crit. this is my spark atm with 1b
using regen atm instead of extra hitpoints. it helps when theres no engineer, but personally i think orelus is better than spark now and here’s why
that deimos engine is lovely.
and this is great for close encounters.
and it’s not too slow either thanks to the shield slot, and it can also use regen.
very solid point fighter and diver. Wish i could have on spark. Actually I want it on apollo. I think apollo would be magnificent with a warp engine. Premiums have enough toys as is and apollo can be built very, very strong with its free rotation and crit. Then again cant get hull regen on apollo in any meaningful amount.
