That’s a huge bug that can be abused.
So you can skip each level of synergy and only grind an amount of synergy corresponding to the max level.

In order for people not abusing this I have deleted from your message the way to reproduce the bug. (the deleted part will be seen by the devs obviously)

I can’t reproduce this bug, unless it’s lag induced and unreliable. I “checked” with two ships, one which would have crossed the synergy threshold inside of invasion, and another over the threshold before launching into invasion. I couldn’t reproduce it in either case. If it is lag induced then it’s hard to reproduce. Another option is the ship he leveled up was low rank and low synergy and the reward was enough for more than one level.
