Cr0 Video Section

Just started recording so I’ll need a few tries to sort out volume levels + resolution of videos but I’ll post what I upload here:

lol thats exactly the battle

I play with similarly low volume in the game client (since need a volume contrast for Team Speak and stuff), and back in the day [@Papitas](< base_url >/index.php?/profile/248198-papitas/) pointed out how my overall video volume was way to quiet, since then every video i upload

  1. I export it’s audio as mp3 and edit it in Audacity (http://www.audacityteam.org/), add music and boost games channel volume

  2. then i use Avidemux (http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/) to replace an audio track (in original video) with modified mp3

  3. save and upload

Avidemux is great for cutting out frames and replacing audio because it is really really light weight, if I’d have to do some heavy video editing would have to use some heavy lifting - but that is to much effort ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

Since i use ShadowPlay it records with same volume as your game plays (and in-game resolution), so with this quick editing I don’t have to bother with adjusting in-game volume and screwing up my gaming setup.

my video card is too old to use shadowplay so I’m using OBS instead, I think I can tweak the audio recording, right now it is at 150% but I’ll try raising it before doing any editing work ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”) (or I’ll just play music over the video)

I have issues with Shadowplay, its not that buttery smooth 75 FPS I always envisioned, makes sense since I do have an Nvidia card but not a dedicated capture one, I just use Fraps instead, After Effects and Premiere Pro for any edit I can think of, and Handbrake to minimize the video sizes, and it doesn’t even have the tiniest effect on the video quality.

X265 HEVC with MKV container is the absolute best lossy conversion you can get with super low file sizes. Only problem is compatibility for the time being. You cant go wrong with x264 still though.

Try IFME and compare to Handbrake.

Can we still farm randoms after the tharga nerf? Lets find out:

Hey man, great videos. Question not really pertaining to what you may think but the short pauses. WTF is that? I get that too and it drives me bananas!

What I mean about the Pauses: look at https://youtu.be/lVyJFT5LBbY?t=56  (your first video above in last post - T5 solo PvP 2 Tharga nerf) 00:56 and watch the pauses happen. It happens several times.

happens when players join the game, its been part of the game for ages

Do you have an SSD?

No. Is it hard drive intensive when people join? I kind of figured it was network side and the way I could tell that was that if it were on my side then I would still be in the exact same spot after the lag hit. (I think)

Also, I don’t want to spam this channel so if I think its worth it, I will start a new topic about it.

no, but I don’t think it’s a big problem as important games start with all the players already in ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

Last time we discussed this issue (can’t remember which thread that was at a time), it looked like those that play on SSD do not see or notice this issue, but nobody made a bug report though ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

No SSD and I get the lag spikes.

Sometimes it’s annoying, sometimes not. I’m fairly sure someone made a bug report about it as soon as MM was put into join-in-progress mode and they said that it’s working as intended.

I’m sure its not intended but it might be very difficult to fix, so it might not be worth the time.

Yeah “working as intended” = “CBA fixing” from my experience of dev responses on this forum.
