I suggest that the forums hold consistent weekly contests for larger sums of GS every week. As in the contest is announced on Monday, and rewards are given out the next week. This would give players much more incentive to go to the forums as well as bring more attention to the GS side of the game. I know that after I first won some GS I just had to buy some more because gold stuff was epic. Now that we have premium ships with special abilities I think that making a way to get GS for free would be an extremely great idea. Both for the sake of the pilots’ happiness and the sake of the increased revenue stream. ^^

If there is a consistent way of getting large sums of GS then no-one will buy them anymore.
Also how would you stop the same artsy people and destroyer-owners from winning every time?
By having various different contests it would be easy. Instead of having the same screenshot contest over and over you would have a screenshot contest, then an artsy contest, then an in-game competition such as who can do the most healing in a single battle etc etc etc. The possibilities are only limited by the imagination of the devs and users.
Also they would just be a once a week thing with like 3 places or something. There are enough players in existence that it wouldn’t affect toooooo much. Also there should be a limit to how many times one person can place in a month or something. Like two placements and then they just get honourable mention from then on.
Weekly screenshot contest is literally just 250gs for ONE person per week. And tournaments are silly these days. Rocked by the big corps these days. Plus I have had zero Sundays over the past year to play.
By this suggestion I mean a weekly contest that gives a useful amount of GS instead of just a highly improbable handful of them.

Actually it’s 2 player :), one chosen by the dev’s and another one by the community
We do contests on forums as often as we can, but it’s actualy, a lot of work to analyze works and give the rewards. So, at the moment I believe, it’s impossible to have much more.
