Connection issues (with logs and stuffs)

From yesterday night (11 p.m. cet time) i’m experiencing huge constant packet loss (around 15%).

Never happened before, but i have to say that in my town my isp is installing new fibre connection. Still the time when this all started confirm that this problem can’t be related to that. I mean: working at night? I live in south of Italy, that would never happen! (lazyness involved) :P

Apart jockes I don’t have problems with my isp like i can prove with links to speedtest and pingtest (i’ve also made some tracert to game servers).

Logs and screenies:

My internet: 8mb donwload, 512kb upload

Speedtest to Rome (200km from me)

Speedtest to Amsterdam

Speedtest somewhere in west Russia

Those above are normal values for me, what is not normal at all is the game with such problems as i showed with first screenie.

Tracert to game lobby:

Tracert to one of the game server in Russia (one that i’ve found in my logs from yesterday night)

Tracert to another game server (this one is EU)

problem is tracert doesnt log packet loss, only path and ping

u should use mtr / winmtr, so you see which node has the packetdrop (basicly a traceroute with packet loss info per node)

this way you also know where on the path to the servers it starts, if its internal (networklayer and softlayer are their eu hosts) or not

i know that sometimes the route between amsterdam and germany has huge loss at networklayer. same could be for you over france, but could also be more local.

Use [this instructions](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/25324-info-connection-losses-high-ping-and-related-issues/)and the given script to trace the network path to the right current/latest server.
But it seems it isnt the networking issues. It seems like your PC (GPU) is overloaded . It can be seen by these log records:

game.log:

frame 222461 GPU wait time is too large

…

And you’v got tonns of "client: snapshot loss rate " while being on different servers.

So i’d be almost 100% sure that the problem is on your side. Maybe you’v installed new drivers/softawre/hardware recently… Or may be there is something unique in a new game version that makes your PC slow…

I’ve loaded the dxdiag file also. I’m running on an amd hd7870 2gb slightly overclocked, and latest beta driver which i’ve installed a couple of weeks ago (so far the only change to my config, last hardware upgrade was months ago).

Btw the problem itself seems solved. No more massive packet loss just a few on one of russian server (but that’s normal). Dunno how.

P.s. that script linked in Error’s instructions never worked for me (it’s unable to find my log’s file even if i have all documents folders on default position and game running), next time it will happen i’ll try to follow manual instructions (i didn’t do the tests with active playing server, next time i’ll do).
