Confusion with skills and weapons

Hi guys, it may be a newb question but bare with me. In your skill tree there are unlocks like adaptive shields, rapid-fire plasma cannon etc… however even though I haven’t researched them I can still buy that equipment from shop… so what’s the point of investing in those skill then?

Thanks for explaining! btw will we get free reset for experience invested when this new skill tree comes out?

edit: also where could find out more about various games modes, and other info about the game itself?

  1. At the moment the details for the new skill aren’t decided yet so I can’t answer this question.

2)There is a wiki under construction and I will try to write some little explanation for all game modes.
