Concerns about T5

After the newest path the forums were burning for a while and gamers were left scratching their heads how to comprehend the changes that came up.

The new patch made me start thinking about the future upcoming T5 and how it will look for the players and honestly, it worries me a lot.

Everything that is happening right now with T4 will technically repeat it self with new Tier when it arrives. Let’s see how it looks for now, my experience at this point is lacking a little as I only possess level 10 T4 ship but i can only imagine that 11,12 level ships are different only in a small way.

Repairs:

The first thing that struck me is that very often you are asked to spend more money on repairs than you get from the map it self (of course that depends on how many times you died but for the sake of the argument let’s say we died 4 times and that means 6% hull left). As a mediocre gamer I earned 130000 credits from a match and was asked to spend 155000 for repairs and at least 20000 for rocket refill (because im spoiling my self with them). I can imagine only that higher we get the more it will cost us to repair the ship, but we more than often we get even with the income.

Creating the problem of not being able to afford new items, new ships, and feel the pr ogres and reward of playing. Of course we have insurance that slowly but steady restores it self allowing us to repair our sips up to three times for free, it helps a lot in tough moments but using one more often than 72hours per each is wasting it.

So I can only imagine that the T5 ships will be more expensive and will require more money for repairs we can even imagine right now, the question is, will the dev Team be able to notice the problem of people not being able to actually fly the ships because they are siting in the junk yard ?

Second point I’m making for the case is the amount of players playing on T4. Of course it’s tied to the pure fact of money - repair problem, If you cant play without worrying if you be able to afford for another mission then just skip a Tier back, even with the change of income you still get not a bad amount of money for one mission. Obvious otherwise we wouldn’t be able to afford T4 ships. MM technically made it easy (and rage quitting for some) to be able to fight with T4 and playing the game, but only for those I quote “Ships of adjacent technical levels can me in battle if they have comparable power” So yeah, I can play my Kastor fly around and have fun with T3, but what if I will buy King Kastor? I don’t believe that it is comparable with technical levels to T3, and most of T4 is playing with T3 anyway because they are comparable, so that laves me to play with… ??? People who are willing to pay enormous repair costs apparently.

And now the same goes for T5. Very small amount of people play T4, and their numbers aren’t growing any minute, and when another Tier will jump in? I Can only imagine that at this point we would see even less of them.

Of course we don’t know when they are planing to add the new tier of ships and how the tier is going to look like. But i’m really afraid that because of the way the reward system works now its going to be pretty lonely empty and honestly a wasted potential. I just hope that the devs will take that under consideration.

For those who won’t say TL;DR, is anyone shearing my concerns ?

They most likely have taken that in consideration, although judging by the last few patches i am no longer that sure. There is a posibility, that even if T5 is finished, they wont be releasing it at this low population count. And another thing is that possibly T4 repair costs could go down when T5 is released.

An evening more amusing thought to consider is: All the people currently dominating T4 (and have been since the start) will already have enough loyalty and reputation (and even credits) saved up to start T5 off with the higher tier ships and blue modules (R15)… Unfortunately so few other people in the community will have R15 with the subfactions and will basically suffer yet another tier of being unable to compete module wise.

It’s going to be unbalanced from day 1… or at least favouring everyone who ranked up ahead of the loyalty nerf.

Favoring anyone that started the game pre-steam basicly, I played almost average of 11 hours/day since the steam launch upto the Loyalty nerf and only managed to get one faction to 10, 3 factions to 9 and 2 to 6.

Since the loyalty nerf it took me 2 weeks to get one faction from 6 to 9…

Sounds like a hardcore gamer. 11h/day phew

About T5. Its Development is not finished yet.

Its release is planned after official game Release. >>> V1.0

Repair Prices got a huge tune down. From January till now they got 60% cheaper. T4 Can now be player even without a License and without risking greater Ship Losses. Rewards will be increased as well.

Its current Shape is still far from good, but the Devs know the Issues and they will work them out. Give them Time to do so.
