Complete PC freeze + blackscreen when navigating the menus in the hangar

Hello !

 

Since about 1 month, I bought a brand new computer with the following hardware :

  • intel core i5-9600KF

  • AMD radeon RX5700XT

  • 16GB 3000MHz RAM

  • 500GB SSD + 2TB SATA drives

 

Playing on a Zowie XL2731.

 

I got recurrent crashes where the PC will freeze, the screen will go black and nothing responds anymore. The only mean to restart is to use the front panel power button

I noticed that I only got these crashes while in the hangar and browsing the menus (especially the Open space map)

 

I find no report in the windows event journal.

I have tried updating my drivers, reinstalling the game, both from steam and then from the official launcher, but am still having the same issue.

 

There is no way I can predict it will happen. Yesterday, I got 3 crashes in a 15 minutes span, but tonight only got one after about a 2.5hours session.

I am adding the logs of the session preceeding the last occurence, if there is anything fishy you can find in there.

UPDATE : 

I tried assigning the game to only one core, but the freeze still prevented me to create the dump (PC not responding entirely)

 

I do not find the “do_dump_on_hangs.bat” file in the Zip archive. Do you know where I can find it ?

UPDATE 2 - PC freeze again. 

This time it happened during a game, so not limited to crash in the menus apparently…

 

No solution to create the dump worked.

After looking on the Internet, I saw that AMD drivers could cause an issue.

I sent them a bug report, waiting for their answer…

Try to run procdump manually

Do I have to run it when the game is running or when it has crashed? 

I cannot do anything when the crash happens my pc completely stops working. 

 

EDIT :

I managed to get the do_dump to work, my game was in admin mode.

 

But no dump created on the crash.

This time, the PC froze two times, right when I connected to the game

Well, let set up some terms:

crash is event when game process suddenly stopped (killed)

freeze is event when game process still running, but game client don’t react for any controls

 

As I understood, we talk about game freezes.

 

If PC freeze with game, do_dump_on_hangs.bat must handle frozen and do dump. But, as I understood, it’s don’t work.

 

Please, show command line window after run do_dump_on_hangs.bat, must be like to this

Also, please, attach launcher logs, you can find in in the game folder

The game freezes have stopped since last week.

The only change I am aware of was to put the game in fullscreen…

 

So far, no other freeze happened.
