Our competition for the best map concept has come to an end and we would like to express our appreciation to all participants! We liked all your maps and we are interested in your ideas about interactive objects on the maps, periodic events, and special attention to possibilities on the map.
We recognized that ti was difficult to pick a winner, sometimes only one vote decides about who wins!
However, after many discussions, the winner was selected: Map Number 14, Kyril, Secret Coal Mines.
We really liked the idea of two huge ships, which will spawn with the pilots, as well as the idea of the gates, whose activity depends on the players. These gates will be very interesting and an important element of the gameplay - because in addition to tactical opportunities and their mechanics will be very interesting! We are very interested try out the map when it is fully ready. We hope you will also like it!
Don’t forget the other maps - the second place “Silver”, was given to two players. Their maps were so close during the entire election, that we decided to give the second place to both of them!
On the second place, SeraX only slightly behind the winner with his map “Arena” (Map Number 7), in which the author paid much attention to the appearance of the map and its history - a very interesting idea about the Pecursors and a huge sphere with an unknown function in it.As we understand you can also fight in this sphere, that creates a lot of interesting and tactical possibilities (maybe this idea will be used in further development of maps).
Of course you need to mention the third (but also “silver”) winner, BigMuzzy with his map “Pallada system” - we loved the idea with the destroyed planet, very beautiful and complex - its implementation would be an interesting challenge for us, but the final version would be just breathtaking! Just imagine the battle near the destroyed (perhaps the mysterious Precursors) planet in the asteroid belt - not only incredibly beautiful, but difficult in terms of handling your ship.
“Bronze” goes to Kopets with his map: “The Border Station”. We liked the author’s interest in 3D-mapping, as well as his interesting layout and the various ways that you can use to accomplish missions. As particular note according to the size of these ways - not all of the ships would be able to take advantage of them.
Of course, you need to note the work of Punylover and his map called «Punysher Descent» - which, although did not hit the “top three”, but we still liked it and so did many other players and colleagues and for this reason
it earned the “Audience Award”!
In conclusion, we note that we are very pleased with the players’ attention to this contest, and that it will be very interesting to create a map proposed and chosen by you! We want to make the game more exciting, and soon the game will include a map that can rightfully be named yours - a very important achievement for us! Thank you all for participating!
