Energy consumption for combat drones is not displayed in tooltip

They use energy?

They use energy?

I am with you… since Attack drones come from use of a missile slot…   do firing of missles cause energy use ?

True I have sometimes wondered about this.

@DavidGill and everrdylost: I believe he is talking about the energy you need to be able to activate the combat drones by pressing F (not attack drones) in order to restore shield points to you and your allies, in this case 4355 shield points.

:01414:   Your right and he clearly stated so in his screen shot…

I have an get out of jail card for my Derpy antics called   OLD AGE !

It doesn’t use that much energy.  I think it’s <150, but more like <100.  But yes, it needs to be shown.

Takes significant time to regenerate that much energy if you’ve got all your auras on and aren’t that energy stable. It’d be neat to know how much energy it really is, though.

I tried checking, had to have around 400 energy pts on naga

420 for Octopus with Vanguard drones

420 for Naga

370 for Minotaur

330 for Styx

280 for Hydra 2

I think I see a rule there… kinda

Phoenix  ?

420

Blaze it

I was wondering this also. seems kinda fishy. Maybe they should just remove energy consumption? I mean it -is- an engineering -special- module.

Phoenix  ?

I don’t have it, but I would guess 330

Phoenix  ?

It’s the same as other T3 engies, 330. Just as all T5 engies are 420, T4s are 370, and so on…

At first, I disagreed.  Then I thought about it some more.

Yes.

Right now, engie drones are one of the easiest drones to kill.  You simply shoot a missile at the engineer, and the blast kills ALL his drones (specials).  Sometimes, I have the drone that I waited 30 seconds for, but not the energy, so it’s useless if someone shoots a missile at the right time  If it took zero energy, then the engineer has a chance to deploy it even when getting drained by an ECM or whatever.

My Octopus drones aren’t easy to kill

Cool, thanks!

What does that mean?

I really assumed they didn’t use energy. That is just kinda silly on my part now that I think of it…

As much as I hate getting pelted in the face by them, combat drones are probably a little too easy to kill.

I shouldn’t be able to kill them in one or two hits with the ECM weapon thingy.

I agree with the one hit missle kill.

You’ll notice it if you ever run into an ECM with energy drainer…
