I was flying around merrily… and yea boom, colission right through my shield 100% just because of this broken module. I have the rank 9 implant so I don’t have anything to go on other than this is a bug or its devs intent to just screw with fast moving ships in high ping.
Proof: (Set quality higher)
Ignore the Dart quote, he ended up having a great crit build coupled with 200 ping I had no chance (Hes Russian)
so what? You flew into an obstacle. Or did I miss smth? I always get his thing on my Targa. It crashes really easily.

Can you read? I was pulled into it but should of gotten shield damage. I was destroyed instantly by that regardless of my 97% shield left with SR Mark 3 implant installed. Therefor… I should of taken shield damage and lived.

Never noticed that, I don’t care how fast I was going, 1500ms I should of taken shield damage first. That is my biggest issue.

Everything above 700m/s is one hit crash.

That’s such bullshi* how do the devs just sit back and not fix this? With the current mechanics, going 700ms I head on crash at 2900 damage. I would never die in one shot if it followed mechanics. Guess it doesn’t.

It is not a bug but a feature, afaik some engine limitations or so. There were some more ore less official statements about that.

I watched. The second time I watched it the ship sped up to 807 ms.
Some info on implant 9: “Shileds can absorb damage from collisions”, OK, the speed was so high that your shield absorbed the damage and disappeared, and the hull evaporised in a matter of milliseconds. I often get a similar thing when I collide with objects. Perhaps, the root of the problem is that the ship reached 700 ms, but again - that 700 ms speed can be reached with your engines, but the black hole added you some speed. I guess it’s like with those jump gates which sped you up to way more than 700 ms.

I know your pain. Especially in case when your ping is more that 70 or even 178 or even 274 AND you are on some Interceptor. That sucks. Interceptors and bad ping ruin my mood. Collision damage is terrible in this game and the main victims are: Stingray, Thar’ga, Tai’kin…
I mean seriously in a stingray you need to evade the wrecks of people you shot down or you get one hit killed, in a thar’ga a slight poke on some rock makes you loose 3/4 of your hull and on a tai’kin strafing into a rock to get that goddamn “crystal inflator” off kills you with a 5k tick.
And yeah this has been requested like a million times now but they should really nerf stingrays collision damage. But alien ships need an eqal to the human collision compensator. (how about a weakness that actually works without an asteroid field)

All Ellydium ships should get inherent collision compensator - 50-75% collision damage reduction.

This whole game has become a flying crock of xxxx this year … they are creating new mechanics to sell mods that counter the new mechanics and then get nerfed to the point nobody uses them any more … its like the developers WANT to completely wipe the existing player base and start fresh … look at Thar’Ga and Jericho and the new SR implant and i forget what the no crash damage mod for Tai’Kin is called as i didn’t buy the worthless ship to get it but there’s that one too … OH LOOK GUYS a new form of damage that’s more OP than a freakin predator in a LVL 10 sector of space … now all you fools have to buy all the new bullshyt to counter that damage type that wasn’t there 5 months ago… WELCOME TO CHAPTER 11

Some ship models suffer excessive damage due to engine limitations.
Some ships need inherent ‘Collision compensator’ passive effect that reduces collision damage by 50% to 75%.
most of the time THIS happen, really anoying i won’t lie…

ships can accelerate above 700 even without outside help, all you gotta do is do 700 forward and add 2 strafe vectors and realign
