Today I’d like to tell you the story of what the f*ck devs.
Last night I decided to go full tilt with my slightly inflated credit pool and refit into some of the stupidest builds I could think of. Of course my first choice was 'ol faithful Sibyl with an absolute speed build - and shock and f*cking horror IT BARELY WENT FASTER THAN PRE-NERF SIBYL WITH A JERRY CAP.
THIS IS HOW HARD YOU F*CKERS CURB STOMPED THIS BLOODY CLASS.
The current meta of the game is a display of how bloody far the difference of the floor and ceiling of ship maneuverability has come and FOR F*CKS SAKE IT’S LIKE A RIVINE. A rank 14 Destroyer with 0 mobility penalties can _ barely keep pace with a cargo ship. _ You know, those f*cking things we’re supposed to escort in PvE? Even then, in order to actually keep pace with _ a f*cking LRF _ you have to sacrifice OBSCENE amounts of your build, meaning you can take even less damage! Keep in mind a wolfhound can kill a rank 14 destroyer in under 20 seconds if left unattended, covert ops ships even less time and tai’kin should have never existed.
Yeah no incase you can’t tell I performed necromancy today because this is the venting thread and holy f*ck do I need to vent about this sh*t.
Ze’ta is the only current viable Destroyer because it can dodge the methods used to absolutely f*cking obliterate every other Destroyer ever. It can:
-Get to cover from LRFs really quick
-Regen from previous engagements or survived mauling attempts
-Tele away from covert ops ships to give them another 4-5 seconds of viability if they’re lucky
-Tele away from stingray because that ship is still stupid powerful. Just unlike wolfhound it actually takes skill.
-Tele away from orbiting tai’kins or kite them into your team
In case you didn’t notice. The reason it’s viable is because it can teleport twice. Yeah you need to be able to short range teleport TWICE to be viable. JESUS CHRIST. JUST REVISIT THIS CLASS’ BALANCING ALREADY.
Bloody well drop the overall EHP by 25-33%, remove the doubled controlling effect duration, LOWER THE EXPLOSIVE MODIFIER TO BE IN LINE WITH FRIGATES, remove that god awful bonus damage field which has been the cause of SO MANY BUGS and REVERT THE SPEED NERF.AND LOWER SPAWN TIME.
Oh right I forgot why I even said lower overall EHP. Remove module destruction. Modules like repelling beam _ exist as a counterplay to orbiting interceptors, except almost every counterplay module is so obvious to see from afar they get destroyed before you get a chance to use them. _
I legitimately stopped using swarm control even on the ze’ta as a repair kit because when you actually need to repair your ship urgently THE F*CKING MODULE HAS BEEN DESTROYED.
