Casual Player

Hi all!

Something about me. Im 27 years old typical “office worker”. I have time to play mostly at weekends. I got experience in other kind of games - MMORPG. Last was Runes Of Magic (about 1 year) and Allods (about 5 years). Becouse of my work, i dont have so much time for MMORPG, so my friend recomended my Star Conflict. So i test it and i like it

Now, something about “second me”

I started with Jericho Command ships, but on Tier III i decide to continue with Guard Ships.

Now i got:

Dvergr Knight 3/7 -> upgraded mostly with Free Syn. I start use Interceptors few days ago - to capture Bacons and kills enemy Capitans.

Crus S 8/9 -> My main ship after i decide to play with Guards. Im collecting money to buy Tormentor and modules for it

Strong  (premium) -> my main ship before change preferences to Guards.

In soon future im planning to buy  Scimitar (new main ship) and  Tormentor (backup ship).

If some CORP want me, catch me in game, or on this forum

Good Luck all, and cya in space

sorry for my English - im still try to learn it

I don’t recommend you to buy Tormentor, because you still have level 1 rank with 4 factions, and you will only lose money. You shouldnt leave tier 3 unless you got more time in game. You will be screwed, believe me.

Stay in tier 3 till you find a corp, and get more used to the game, cheers.

Most of the corporations in Star Conflict can be categorized in 2 types:

  1. Those that don’t care about the skill, team plays, strategy, they care for big numbers of active players, so called “Zerg” corporations, most of the time these are the corporations that are actively and aggressively trying to invite everyone to keep they activity up, and they kick as soon as you exceed couple days of inactivity

  2. And there are those that value the player that joins them, they value the team work and personality, but those rarely go and pm every non corp player in the game, most of the times players will come to them. It doesn’t mean that these corporations are hardcore elitists, its more of that they want to make sure that everyone in they corp can have fun together.

So you have to decide for yourself what you want and where you want to be.

I would strongly recommend you get some more flight time across the board. Make sure you’ve got a good lineup of T3 ships (3 rank 8/9) before you even consider T4.

I would also advise getting every ship path up to around R5 / R6, simply because doing so will give you a good idea on how all the different ships feel. I have always been dismissive of Federation ships, but when I sat down and decided to grind their ship tree up to T3 I found I actually enjoyed them quite a lot!

I know it seems a huge amount of work, but the more time you spend in lower tiers learning the tricks of the trade, perhaps getting noticed by players and becoming a “known” pilot, the better shape you’ll be in when you finally make that jump into T4. You’ll have more skill, you might have more friends who can make the jump with you, and perhaps you’ll catch the eye of a good Corp who will invite you into the fold.

Remember, a big part of any Good Corp is communication. It doesn’t matter who I’m flying with - I always do better when I’m in a Corp squad. Doesn’t mean we always win, but we do better.

That should be your biggest criteria; “does this corp communicate”? Do they have Teamspeak? Do they require Teamspeak? If the answer is no, look elsewhere. You have no idea what a difference TS makes to a game until you hit that eight win streak…

If we call “Zerg corps” to the corps that have quantity over quality, why we dont call “Protoss corps” to the ones who have quality over quanitty?

My life for Aiur!  :kamikadze:

I miss Starcraft.  Sometimes it confuses me when I see SC because my first thought is still Starcraft.

I should play Starcraft 2…

I think the previous Starcraft is still better, but 2 doesn’t dissapoint either. Probably because of the long time it had to balance things (they needed only 8 patches for that! other games need like 30-100-1000 and still don’t get it right xd ).

I advise against buying the scimitar, the tormentor S is far better.

And like the others said: Don’t rush all the tiers, T3 is a great place to level up your factions and your game skills.

Also make sure to save up free synergy instead of spending it unless you got enough credits to buy the next ship in line/ship you want.

I am currently leveling federation and I have to admit I dislike most of their ships(CO/gunships). The reason is the slot layout mostly.

The Anacanda is quite fun though(The R8 engi) and will have the R9 guard today hopefully.

The Silent Fox is awesome though. I got several maniacs on it  :taunt:

Wolves have a decent (maybe even great) slot layout xd

because Protoss is 2 syllables. It won’t catch on.

because Protoss is 2 syllables. It won’t catch on.

Protoss can also be called Toss so it catches on

Then people think about salad and it does downhill from there.

Protoss can also be called Toss so it catches on

or Tossers, that might do it!

This guy is trying to get in a corp and we’re talking about tossing zerglings over the fence lol

Why tossing over the fence you mean you dont like Zegashi steak ?

Grill party! >:D
